Mission:
Enemy: Starfleet
Location: Azimuth Horizon (USS Alsea)
USS Alsea
Acting Captain’s Log
Stardate: 88825.5
I am finishing installing the integration and targeting parameters aboard the Alsea in order to control multi vector attack mode by myself. I cannot help but find humor in my position because not only am I the first Cardassian to command a starship, but I get to command three. After my trial they told me nothing would get me command of a ship. Funny how a mutiny, a little crime and a threat of galactic proportions changes things.
I was ready to man this ship on my own, but Lieutenant Snow is aboard and any extra sets of hands is always a blessing. With trusted friends and allies in short supply I reached out to Captain Riker. It took a bit to calibrate the subspace communications to reach him specifically, but I managed to make it work. Hopefully he understands how serious the coming mission is.
As someone who has stood before a tribunal before for betraying the Federation, I can only laugh at our current situation. I went rogue to take down a bunch of dangerous zealots and save my friend, stole a starship and exposed a few traitors. Here I sit on the bridge of another stolen ship except instead of betraying the Federation I sit as one of only a few who are ready to strike at the very heart of the Federation itself. This is a dangerous mission, and I doubt we all make it out of this alive. I guess if I was to choose any final words they would be…
The recording of the log was interrupted by the ring of a computer notification.
"Status report?"
Sorripto asked the computer as he walked from the engineering station to tactical.
"Final system calibrations complete. All systems operating twenty percent above normal parameters."
Pumping his fist Sorripto continued to work the tactical station and install the new targeting updates he had created. As the final calibrations lined up on screen Sorripto tapped the comm.
“This is Alsea. All preparations ready.”
After receiving the affirmative from the others Sorripto ran one final vitals check on Jureth and began for the edge of the anomaly. Despite being a warship, the Alsea was going to be the last ship to arrive. Sorripto could only watch as sensor readings were all over the place, whatever was happening near the event horizon looked like a battle.
