Mission Summary

The Federation wishes to exploit the opportunities of the tamed Azimuth Horizon to expand into new territories and new discoveries. Starfleet is thus called to implement a first operation of exploration and settlement of the pocket universe opened by the anomaly.

A group of colonists is given in the care of the USS Horizon which will ace at the temporary starbase for both the colonisation effort of the M class planet nearest to the AH and as a base of operation for preliminary charting of the nearby sector. The USS Phoenix will be tasked with this particular mission.

Things will start on a wrong foot as the colonists leader, a woman named Dolores Payne, and the thousand of colonists following her, are avowed Horizon Children, albeit those not the fanatic cultists responsible for the terrorist acts that almost caused the failure of Operation Horizon and the destruction of the universe. Exonerated from direct relationship with the dismantled terrorist group, they are nevertheless considered a risk; their willingness and eagerness to go rebuild their society on the other side is an easy way for the Federation to get rid of a potential social problem... and follows it,s benevolent beliefs.

But on the Horizon are two individuals very significant for those people; Captain Kheren, commander of the Horizon, a Starfleet officer most antagonistic to them and barely out of a terrible ordeal; and Commander Joey D. Sisko, who once had been called their Prophet.

And what awaits them all on the other side is far from anything they expect... nor what will happen on this side of the anomaly while they are gone.
