USS Alsea: Epilouge

Captain's Log: The Alsea has escaped what turned out to be a precarious situation brewing in the remnants of the Romulan Empire. It seems Starfleet's information about the remaining Romulans was woefully lacking. We encountered not one, not two, but three separate factions all vying for control of Romulan space. I would speculate that a civil war may very well be in the cards for the Romulans which leads me to the involvement of Jarod and the Klingons. Not long ago they allied with Sela to try and push the Federation from this area of space, now they seem to be playing both sides against the other. It is a disturbing prospect and one Starfleet and Lotus Fleet should not ignore. That said, my crew and my ship are returning home in one piece in no minimal way due to the actions the Klingons and Proconsul D'Tan and his Republic faction. Without them it is possible we would still be Donatra's prisoners or worse. The crew has performed admirably on their first mission together, and I will be recommending promotions and commendations for nearly everyone aboard...."

"Computer, end log entry." Jureth commanded as he closed the terminal on the ready room desk. He stood up and for a moment glanced out the viewport at the stars streaking by as the Alsea made her way home. His first mission with is first official command had turned out to be more than interesting. It would certainly make for a very entertaining debriefing. 

"Bridge to Captain Oseno." 

The voice was Shawn Hunter's who was the current watch officer.

"Yes Lieutenant." 

"We are approaching Starbase Lotus." 

"I'm on my way." 

Jureth felt the ship decelerate out of warp as he stepped on the bridge. Shawn Hunter stood up and rotated back to his much more comfortable helm station as the captain took the command chair back. 

"Starbase control reports we are clear to moor Sir."

"Very good Mister Hunter, take us home."
