PRACTICE: John Adams' Introduction

John walked up to the doors of Holodeck 1 in a t-shirt, sweat pants, and sandles scratching his neatly trimmed beard lazily.

"Computer, Holodeck 1 access code John Adams 209 Beta"

The computer gave the familiar chirp of approval and the heavy holodeck doors loudly whired open. Immediately a beach ball flew past john and bounced off the hallway wall and rolled up to his side. John bent over and picked it up with an obvious smile on his face and tossed it back to the crowd who graciously thanked him for the help.

"I like this Captain already." John thought to himself as he walked into the Holodeck as the heavy doors closed behind him. John was a big fan of warm beaches, scantly clad women, and adult beverages. John stood around for a moment on the warm sand, enjoying the scenery, as he took in a big breath and exhaled as if a load of bricks were being removed from his shoulders.

"Hello Captain" John said as he walked up to the relaxing Samji. John noticed Samji motioning to the cooler next him. "Thank you Captain, but I've got my own medicine today." John reached into the pocket of his sweat pants to pull out a slim stainless steel hip flask, which he immediately cracked open and took a shot from.

"Hello..." John said to the dark eyed, scantly clad woman as he held out his hand. "...name is John Quincy Adams. And what might your lovely name be?"

Jolie tipped her head at him, a few light auburn long curls straying on the breeze. Her black eyes studied him, trying to remember if she'd seen him before. "Jolie Bindo. Have you just arrived on base? I see you're well stocked with drink, but the Bolian bartender has plenty more." The rainbow colored beach ball bounced into their midst. The doctor picked it up and batted it back to the other players. "Come on over and join the crowd."
