Beset by war and enemies on just about every front, the Federation's desperate need for ships and new personnel had compelled Savok to request a transfer from the Vulcan Sciences Academy to Starfleet. Service to the Federation is the only logical choice, lest the entire governing body fail as a whole. He had nearly completed his Kolinahr ritual when he was finally accepted to Starfleet Academy. Thus Savok delayed the completion of this ritual until a later date, however the abandonment of all vestigal emotion remains one of his primary goals in life.
Savok is currently betrothed to a vulcan woman that he has not seen nor heard from since they were linked sometime between the ages of 6 and 7. Personally, Savok does not see a logical need for marriage, as service to the many outweighs his own illogical and highly unnecessary carnal needs.
To Savok, any perceived imperfection or sub-optimal performance is a monumental personal failure. In his spare time, the vulcan meditates nearly continually in isolation to purge even the slightest affective remnants of shame and inadequacy. |

Has not yet experienced his first pon farr.
May 2408: Medical treatment for a serious radiation burn on Savok's lower back caused by an accident during a standard academy fire-fighting training exercise. During the course of the assignment, the specialized holo-simulator room malfunctioned, and a plasma conduit ruptured. Savok had managed to rescue four injured cadets from the worst of the fire, radiation, and toxic fumes.
June 2408: Savok requested a week's personal leave to deal with issues precipitated by a mind meld with a human cadet. |

-Starbase 10: science department with the rank of Ensign
-USS Artemis: applied for the position of chief science officer but was severely wounded following the telepathic attack that brought down the Collective and could not assume his duties.
-Extended medical leave on Vulcan after suffering injuries during the borg war. Promoted in the field to Lieutenant Junior Grade for his actions.
Current status:
-Returned to Starbase 10 as Science officer with rank of Lieutenant. |
