Family History | The Solius family has held a position of honor among the Romulan Empire. The family has been connected to many prominent figures in politics, military and business. It seemed that no matter what the family did, they were successful. This is due to many under the table deals and assassinations to further advance the family's goal of absolute power. That of course came to an end with the Hobus event. A majority of the family was killed, with only those whom were deployed away from home surviving. The family, although splintered and broken has resolved to return to their former glory. By any means necessary. |
Personality & Traits
General Overview | Like most Romulans, S'Tan is dictated by his emotions. Although a very impressive engineer, his career has always been hampered by his quick temper in stressful situations and his lack of tact in diplomatic events. Due to this, he prefers to be alone, although he does not admit such a failure to anyone. |

Ambitions | S’Tan’s family was considered one of the most powerful families on Romulus. However, that all ended with the supernova. He has not forgotten the lifestyle that he once lived and strives to return to living in upper society. Although much more difficult to obtain in the Federation, he still believes that he can make it happen. There is nothing more important to him than gaining power and influence. Except survival. He knows that he has betrayed his people and his family. The same family who hold high ranking positions in the military and Tal’Shiar. He knows that should he ever get the chance to take R&R, he best stay within the watchful eyes of the ship…shuttle accidents have been known to happen. He knows that his ship will encounter someone from his family again one day, and he can only hope he will be in a jefferies tube when it happens. |

Hobbies & Interests | S’Tan enjoys playing the bass guitar. He first learned about it on a secret trip to Risa when he was 10. It was also the first time he encountered a Federation officer. He befriended the man before he stole his access codes for the Empire. Even at 10 he was living up to his family's expectations. The enjoyment of playing the bass rubbed off and when S’Tan returned to his home, he replicated the device and taught himself how to play. He also enjoys drinking, although when stationed on a starship, it is incredibly difficult to find any source of alcoholic beverage. In his spare time, S’Tan also enjoys constantly researching new technologies. Using his computer skills, he is able to break into top secret files and learn about what his (and other) governments are attempting to develop. This has sometimes helped his career, as he has been able to give input to members of the research team to advance the project and increase his renown. |
Basic History
Personal History | From birth, S'Tan has been raised to be the best. This induction started when he was 5 years old. By the age of 10, he was working with the Romulan navy as a spy, outside the jurisdiction of the Tal'Shiar & the rest of the Empire for that matter. For a time, he was considered a very charismatic child. However, as he grew into a man, he lost his charms and instead began focusing on technology. This did not please his parents, who had believed he had a destiny in the highest ranks of the Tal'Shiar. However, after a time, they saw his level of aptitude with technology and determined that sending him to the Romulan Academy would be for the best. |

Medical History | S'Tan has had a privileged life. This includes having access to the top doctors that Romulus had to offer. It was only a year before his entry into the navy, that he suffered his first injury: A plasma burn on his left arm. The doctors repaired most of the damage to his muscles and hand, however, he still has minor nerve damage and has no feeling from his shoulder to his elbow. He has come to accept his new 'condition', and still feels minor twinges of sadness to know that the doctor that healed him was arrested the following week for failure to completely heal him. |
