| Family History | His parents all work at the Andorian Shipyards. They are all well skilled engineers so it makes sense that their child would also be skilled in engineering. Unfortunately while they are skilled in their profession their focus is definitely more on family and species. They want to help repopulate the species. Unfortunately they had multiple miscarriages and Shar is their only living child. Rather than supporting him fully because of this they instead tried to take control of his life. Now that he's gone they're looking to try and use the Yrythny eggs to try and have another child or two. It is ironic that they're looking to use the same solution that Shar is counting on helping him later. |

Basic History
| Personal History | Shar is a Chan from the Idrani clan. He has always been good with his hands and as such decided to enlist in Starfleet. All four of his parents from the clan were not happy with this decision and they decided to try and force him to stay on Andoria. They tried everything they could think of to try and get him to stay. Including sending him to a repopulation center, hoping to distract him with, pleasurable activities. No matter what they did he simply had no interest in staying on Andoria at the time. Maybe before the new treatments had arrived from the Gamma Quadrant allowing the Andorian fertility window to be extended. But now he felt he had to go off and have an adventure or two before settling down. Besides Starfleet had always been reasonable about having children on board and their officers marrying, why wouldn't they be so about him? Eager to follow in the footsteps of his childhood hero, Commander Shran, he eagerly enlisted in Starfleet once his parents made the mistake of letting him have a data PaDD which he dismantled and used to havk his way out of their house and then enlisted at the nearest recruiter and shipped off to and the Academy. | |
