General Overview		"Due to Cyrus' social and mental abilities that have yet to be fully charted, Cyrus was accepted into Starfleet Academy on my recommendation and continues to be monitored by Starfleet Intelligence. A close-eye should be kept on Cyrus' continuing social development as he has apparent difficulty in maintaining close contacts, though he feels such corruption is wholly circumstantial/environmental in nature. Previous observations include initial contact/relationships come easy for him and he maintains a fierce sense of loyalty, great care should be taken to ensure his loyalties are pointed in the correct direction. Starfleet Intelligence is currently developing a plan of action, up-to and including intelligence gathering and covert activities. Cyrus shows great interest in uncovering the true nature of his past, learning further techniques to tone-down and greater control his telepathic abilities as well as his emotional outbursts. He is also pursing a Diplomatic Corps career path concentrating in Tactical and Security and Medical disciplines." Currently living in San Francisco, Cyrus recently graduated from Starfleet Academy with an Honors Diploma in Tactical/Security, with a specialty in Intelligence. His post-graduate studies have included concurrently completing all 4 years of Starfleet Academy Medical and Engineering courses. This unusual project has been approved and implemented by Admiral Redding and Starfleet Intelligence under the condition Cyrus accept placement into Starfleet Intelligence as a fully-qualified field operative, with expertise in tactical/security, medical, and engineering studies and field training upon completion of his Academy training. This highly unorthodox procedure serves two purposes – first, Starfleet Intelligence believes testing Cyrus intellectually will yield more clues to his true identity and past. Second, Cyrus has demonstrated extreme intelligence and empathic/ telepathic abilities. These abilities are best utilized BY Starfleet rather than against it and therefore Cyrus’ current status is one of the Federation’s great but mysterious assets. Cyrus is being monitored closely by Starfleet Intelligence and requires periodic classified communication and access to assets/personnel not normally available to Starfleet Tactical officers.

Basic History

Personal History		Father: El-Aurian who adopted the name McCann upon taking residence on earth after the destruction of the El-Aurian Homeworld by the Borg. Mother; Betazoid officer on board a relief ship that took care of El-Aurian refugees among which she met one who would become her husband and father of Cyrus. her identity is kept under classified seal by Starfleet command. Personal History: From what little is known of Cyrus’ personal/family history, it could be said his past was full of torment and disaster. Presently his race has been declassified by Starfleet Intelligence as El-Aurian after two decades of actively seeking answers to questions he himself can’t answer. What is known is the following: Cyrus McCann was once assumed to be a false name, but it has since been determined this is his true name. He is El-Aurian, though how he came to be on planet Earth is still a mystery. His personal and family history up to this point was planted by Starfleet Intelligence as partially Betazoid, mostly to explain his powerful empathic and telepathic abilities. Extracts from classified data: Cyrus McCann is the only known product of a Betazoid mother and El-Aurian father, names (REMOVED: CLASSIFIED). Mother lost under mysterious circumstances at an early age, father provided Cyrus best living arrangements possible, though at times he was sent to live with different maternal relatives off-planet due to father's activities. Father was officially an independent genetic scientist specializing in large-scale agriculture gene manipulation, see Starfleet Record (REMOVED: CLASSIFIED) for further bio. Adolescence showed Cyrus to be highly intelligent, though wholly-emotionally motivated, studies suffered as a result. Average/poor marks in mathematics, extremely evolved social abilities manifested by early teenage years as confirmed Betazoid telepathic abilities. Flagged early by Starfleet recruiters, though he showed no interest in completing school or joining the Academy. Adulthood brought the usual challenges associated with such a checkered background, Cyrus applied to Starfleet Academy only recently. Insufficient grades and lack of Secondary Educational Institution studies led to Starfleet Academy Denial (see Starfleet Record C.0001979.07.01). Medical History		Cyrus has a commanding presence. He has demonstrated an aversion to violence and even verbal confrontation, though he is fiercely loyal to the Federation and the chain of command. His intelligence and mental abilities have yet to be fully tested, though currently it is believed they have yet to reach their full potential. Cyrus has also expressed great interest in interpersonal relationships among his Academy peers, as well as regular inquiries into inter-species and diplomatic relationships. A gentle giant, Cyrus is often a great resource to councilors and medical personnel in defusing tense/hostile situations thanks due in part to his mental prowess and also his physical stature.
