General Overview
Strengths & Weaknesses		Raimond is impulsive and narcissistic. He gets easily distracted and takes too many risks. His motto is: seize the day! Apart from that Ray is very intelligent and loyal to his friends and his captain. Though hiding it behind a mask of disinterest, Ray loves to fight for the rights of the "oppressed minority", as he likes to call it.
Ambitions
Hobbies & Interests		Ray plays the guitar and was also lead singer of a 21st century-style rock band during his years on Starfleet Academy. Besides music, Ray loves to play poker, though he is normally not a very good player.

Basic History

Personal History		Ray Lewis was born the son of Lt. Lisa Neeley and Charles Lewis on the space station DS 9. While his father was a professional musician his mother worked as a security officer for Starfleet. When he was two years old, his parents seperated and his father took Ray to Seattle, back on earth, where Charles Lewis grew up as a child. Raimond had a normal childhood with the usual ups and downs. He had almost no contact with his mother and lived alone with his father. At the age of 18, Ray went to Starfleet Academy against the advice of his father. He wanted to follow the path his mother once chose. The years on the academy passed quickly but Ray got into trouble more than once. Though he was intelligent, he had not much self control and broke regularly the rules of the academy. It took him a few years more than average but finally managed to graduate with excellent marks that made him worthy to be selected to serve in the elite Starfleet division of Lotus Fleet. Shortly after his arrival at Starbase 10, he was transfered to the USS McKenzie under the command of Captain Sean Kirkpatrick to fill in the position of Helm Officer. Ray was excited and eager to fly the ship into battle. On his first mission, the USS McKenzie was sent out to investigate the disappearance of another Starfleet vessel: the USS Theory, which had gone missing near the border of the Klingon Empire. His excellent performance earned him the position of chief flight operations officer on board the McKenzie when command was transfered to Captain Daniel Crist upon Kirkpatrick's promotion to the Admiralty.

Service Record		Previous Assignement; USS Aurora: cadet cruise USS McKenzie as Helm officer with the rank of Ensign Current Status; on leave on Earth after sustaining severe injuries during the initial encounter with the Borg Cube that heralded the Borg War. Now back on duty at starbase 10's security dept with a commendation for bravery under enemy fire.
