| Family History | His mother who worked a cook and food merchant was killed in the Dominion attack on Cardassia Prime covering Sorripto's body to save him when their home was destroyed. His birth father served in the Cardassian military reaching the rank of Dal (equivilent to Starfleet Commander). Upon seeing the ravages brought on the Cardassian people his father, who was secretly helping the Cardassian resistance, lead one of the first ships to turn against the Dominion and fight side by side with the Federation. |

Basic History
| Personal History | Returning home to the planet his father found him and took him in knowing that with the odds of survival that Sorripto would be a great hero to Cardassia and the Alpha Quadrant one day. Sorripto worked with his father at a young age to help rebuild Cardassia Prime and keep it secure. With no standing military and the idea of the family meal still the backbone of Cardassian family culture his father retired from active service and helped to distribute food and supplies to his fellow people. Although the Cardassian lifespan is much longer then humans the toll of the war and the efforts put into rebuilding their home world took a toll on Sorripto's father and in his weakened state he died in the year 2404. On his deathbed Sorripto's father Devin told Sorripto of his dealing with the Federation and what they mean for the good of the galaxy as a whole. Moved by his father's words Sorripto knew any organization that could show that grace to a die hard military man would be the best way to help the people of Cardassia Prime and their allies. After his father's funeral Sorripto made his way for Earth to join Starfleet. | |

| Service Record | During his time at the Academy Sorripto formed a unique mentor to protege bond with the Dean of Engineering Miles O'Brien. It was this odd relationship with a mentor, which became more like a father son relationship in the months following Sorripto's graduation, that helped Sorripto get orders to the science department aboard the USS McKenzie. During his layover at Starbase 10 Sorripto was an integral part of the team aiding in developing the nano technology used during the Station's battle with the Borg. It was this act of excellence combined with a letter of commendation from his mentor, who had since been promoted to Associate Dean of Academics that helped Sorripto receive a promotion to Lieutenant and new Chief Science officer aboard the USS McKenzie. | Additional Information | Always knowing and yearning for a chance to better himself and the Cardassian people Sorripto enrolled in Starfleet Academy. His history as a son of a military man and a peacekeeper he majored in tactics with his love of exploration and cultures he chose a minor in Astrobiology. Sorripto had a hard time at the academy due to both his age, being in his 30's when he was there, and the hatred of Cardassians most students and even some academy instructors showed. Following in the footsteps of many first species including Worf, who Sorripto considers a hero, he finished the academy in only three years and with honor graduate and a die hard Cardassian work ethic was ready to face the troubles of his people and the galaxy and restore peace within the Alpha quadrant. |
