Personality & Traits
General Overview | Brian generally presents the stoic demeanor of a security officer and war veteran. He takes his job very seriously, and wants nothing short of perfection from his people. He will not however ask them to do anything he will not do himself. Off duty he is a little more relaxed and enjoys reading, and playing parisis squares on the holodeck. He is single and has no plans for a family right now believing it would only interfere with his service to Starfleet. He generally makes no mention of his family lineage unless asked directly about it though it is in his service record.

Basic History
Personal History | Brian is the youngest of three children, and had a troublesome childhood constantly ending up in fights in school, and was classified as having an attitude problem and a problem with authority. In high school advice from none other than Kathryn Janeway made him change his outlook, and he joined Starfleet Academy. His days at the academy were not without issues as many expectations were placed on him not only because of who his father was, but because of his family lineage as well. Brian ignored them though, and at the same time lived up to them becoming an excellent student as well as a member of the famed Nova Squadron. After the Academy Brian served with distinction in the Dominion War as a security officer aboard the Galaxy Class U.S.S. Nimitz, and then he survived the Battle of Cardassia aboard the Akira Class U.S.S. Neptune. For his heroism during the Battle of Cardassia, Brian was awarded the Federation Star Cross, Medal of Honor, and a promotion. Archer wanted none of those things for doing his job, but with the death of the Neptune's captain Marc Leyton, he wasn't even sure he'd done that. So, Brian left Starfleet and began working for Section 31. For 13 years, Archer carried out assignments for Section 31 ranging from intelligence gathering to direct assassinations. During a deep cover mission to Quo'Nos doubts that Brian had been accumulating about his work for the elusive shadow group came to a head and he made a decision to abandon Section 31 then and there. Upon his return to Earth he made his break with Section 31 and returned to Starfleet and accepted his current assignment to the USS Icarus.
