| Family History | Father is the captain of a science research vessel, Mother is a physician on Betazed. Jolie is fifth in line in the Fourth House of Betazed. Capt. Anteli was serving as a science lieutenant on the USS Nautilus when the Battle of Betazed broke out and the ship was ordered to the system along with the rest of the 12th fleet. His ship was assigned to battle the Cardassians, who had invaded Betazed, and assist the resistance led by Lwaxana Troi, Cort Enaren, and his son, Sark. Dr. Leilee Bindo was treating casualties at a mobile base near the front lines of the Cardassian attacks when it came under fire. She was shot by some Cardassians while trying to protect her patients, and nearly died just as the Nautilus moved within range to beam all the staff and patients on board. Jory was called in by the medical staff to provide telepathic support to her while they rushed to save her life. When Leilee called on him later to thank him, it was love at first sight. They were married shortly after the Cardassians were driven out of the Betazed system. |

Basic History
| Personal History | Jolie grew up in a very busy, loving household. She spent a good portion of her childhood growing up in the royal house and playing with Cort Enaren II and other cousins. Her family strongly encouraged education, but they also made time for fun. They spent a lot of time at Lake Cataria camping, exploring, swimming, and pursuing other watersports. Jolie and her family are moderately devout, worshipping the Four Deities and celebrating their various customs. They follow Betazoid politics rather closely, given Leilee's and Jolie's standing in the Fourth House. Jolie was always inspired by her mother's story of bravery, even though her mother downplayed it with humility as 'just doing her duty for her patients and Betazed'. When one of her cousins was stung by an insect and had a near-fatal allergic reaction, a young Jolie administered the first aid that helped keep the young boy alive until advanced medical help arrived. It was then that Jolie decided to go into medicine. She studied biology and history at the University of Betazed, and was accepted to the medical school at Starfleet academy. She graduated fourth in her academy class. Her internship and residency were spent on the hospital ship, USS Comfort, and her fellowship year was spent at Deep Space 9. | |
| Medical History | Broke her leg in a waverunner race with her brother when she was 16, hurt her arm breaking a board in martial arts, both healed without incident. She acquired her telepathic powers at age 10. She gets some headaches due to the higher strength of her powers and the relatively early age with which she developed them. She is in a long-term Federation Science study on the development of Betazoid telekinesis, but her kinetic powers are very limited to small, lightweight items. | |
| Service Record | Dr. Bindo's first assignment was on the USS-McKenzie as CMO. Her mother described the Defiant-class ship as 'a breadbox', but Jolie enjoyed the close-knit setting of the smaller ship very much. She served there through the Borg invasion and then on Starbase 10 with recovery efforts for telepaths who were severely injured in Sedin's attack. She returned to duty on the McKenzie once it was repaired. She was called to Starbase 10 to assist on a mission with Lt. Malthuzar Rex and has been helping Lt. Rex determine what to do with a colony of liberated Borg that has formed on a Federation colony planet. After a resolution of the problem on that planet, she was re-assigned to the USS Lotus as Chief Medical Officer. |
