On January 17, 2015 (4 days ago) STC kicked-off its 2nd Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for additional episodes. They are currently in production of the 4th installment/episode of this series.
If they can raise $100,000 their intention make two more original, all-new episodes!The money goes to hard costs related to the development, filming, and post-production of these stories, such as:
- Set construction and materials
- Building rental and maintenance
- Monthly utilities costs
- Equipment rental
- Prop production and replication
- Costume rental and production
- Make-up equipment and supplies
- Cast and crew travel, lodging, and food during the shoots
- Post production costs, hard drives, online data storage, etc.
- Plus a million other little details!
Stretch goals:
• $150,000 • Chief engineer "Scotty" wants to upgrade engineering! If they raise $150,000, they can make his wish come true -- and he can celebrate with something "green."
$175,000 • You want them to visit "planets" -- and so do they! If they hit our stretch goal of $175,000, they can build additional sets... and their away team -- complete with red shirts -- can explore new worlds.
• $225,000 • They can produce one additional episode, for a total of three!
• $275,000 • They can produce another additional episode, for a total of four!
Note: Every $50,000 above and beyond $275,000 will be used to produce an additional episode of Star Trek Continues.
(If they don't quite make the $50,000, any monies raised will be used to upgrade sets, costumes, etc.)
