You're welcome to add Captain Riker at any point of the story.
I see four (but not limitng to those) options at the moment:
- He stays Captain of the McKenzie, confronts another ship (i.e. the Phoenix, the Alsea or the Achilles) and realizing through that confrontation what is happening, joins the rebellion. That is I think the most ''isolating'' option as it will have you playing alone until this event occurs; then still alone on board your ship interacting with others on their own.
- He may have had his suspicions himself and approached Samji who ''recruited'' him to join the Horizon as the Exec to Redding and commander of the Polaris. That would have you play with me (as Dr Nasaro-Myth) and possibly Redding on board the Horizon Rogers' sister Shelley is also aboard as the bartender if I recall).
- He may have been taken off his command (showing rebellious attitude or not fitting the scheme or getting to close to the truth) and waiting reassignment, volunteer to transfer on the Phoenix as exec. That would have you play with Jeff (Syntron) and me (Livingstone).
- The McKenzie was overtaken by the small crew entirely affected as Jureth was, except for Riker who accidentally escaped the scheme (i.e. because he came back aboard with a shuttle instead of using the transporter). He escaped with one of the two shuttles aboard but it was damaged in the ensuing pursuit and lost adrift in space... until found by one of the rebel ships (your pick; we will work out the specific details later).
The 4th one is my prefered one, as it would give you best flexibility to choose interaction and bring a major clue and direction to the story (getting back his command and adding another LF ship to the rebellion while confronting the scheme directly). But I will not force you into a role. You choose what strikes your fancy, what would be most fun to you. Thus the 5th option is: your ideas
Hope this helps

Yep Germain De Paul is a security Ensign of mine(wonder what he's doing there? Should be on the Horizon). But since I already have Jonathan Livingstone with you, that should be enough

Re: Enemy: Starfleet - OOC
Hi guys! 'How you do'in?' lol. Sorry for my absence. My extended stay at the hospital was the Dr's. choice, not mine. I think he is related to Nasaro-Myth! ha ha.
Needless to say, but if you ever come down with Pneumonia, don't for any reason throw in some influenza for good measure. They lock you away and seem to treat you like a leper!!
Anyway, I have posted a comment in the "Gathering Of Hunters" thread for inclusion at the end, if you want it. I am not in any of the current story posts (as Rogers), so cannot post in them directly. I will also get up to speed on the other posts and start one for the Achille's.
I must say, that is some very fine writing in the Delta Flyer, Phoenix and Alsea posts. I am not in your guy's league.

I love the fourth option. Wherever you think he will fit in have that ship find him and we can slip him into the story. This will also keep the McKenzie out of the main story to not overcrowd the already high ship count.

Welcome back!!! So glad that you are recuperating and able to join us again. Your absence was definitely felt!
And you are ABSOLUTELY of great importance in this storytelling and absolutely on par in the writing aspect! Don't doubt that for even a microsecond! We merely strived to keep the story moving forward as much as we could during absences.
With the story now diverging into separate ship threads, everyone’s participation will now become even more important and perhaps a bit more challenging… allowing a flow of interactions/dialogue to flourish aboard each vessel while trying to keep the sequence of events occurring clear.
As mentioned, each of us using an NPC in each thread (ship) post would be a good way to keep the story interactive, if that is appropriate for the individual situations.
So, merge your way back into the story at your comfort level and pace. We can of course continue to use the OOC and PMs to ask questions, get clarification, throw ideas into the ring, etc… anytime.

What do you mean BLZBUB ''not in our league?'' We're trying to match you!
Sorry about your health problerms and glad you're feeling better. Take your time and don't worry, we'll be here for you once you can rejoin play.
Sorripto, just tell me with which ship you wish to involve Riker with and' I'll introduce Riker to it using the 4th scenario you prefer. The Achilles and The Phoenix would equally welcome you (as you are already on the Alsea and the Dawn; Horizon will remain an NPC background ship unless Redding can come aboard). I'll fill in the blanks once you choose your playground

I think the Phoenix would make the most sense. Given the crew, it is the one Riker would most easily fit into.
