I agree with Sorripto.
I thought about holographic officers, which are standard on Lotus fleet ships, and my thinking was that they would derail the story. It would mean Kheren would only have needed to get aboard the Lotus and fly it out by himself, no need of anyone else.
So to prevent that, I thought to consider that, as programmed Starfleet officers, any EHO would act like the Doctor did in VOY many times; follow Starfleet directives and protocols to the letter. Even more so if they are not sentient, they would act according to their basic programming, much like Data did when his main cerebral functions had been knocked out in Star Trek Insurrection.
Thus, their programming would compel them to not only refuse to comply but to actually arrest any person not authorized on record as legitimately justified to be aboard.
With this idea, we prevent this easy cope out or a major discrepancy and force our main characters to do all the work (hence the need for ship automation a la Search For Spock). Thus we would have for example Jureth in the center seat, Kheren at tactical/communication, Syntron at science/sensors, Sorripto at helm/navigation and Rogers at Engineering. And let's hope we don't need any serious medical help ;P
Does it make sense?

That sounds like the right layout to me Kheren. I actually thought about medical, and not having a doctor on board raises the stakes a bit because now we have to make extra certain not to get hurt.
"The first duty of every Starfleet officer is to the truth, whether it's scientific truth or historical truth or personal truth! It is the guiding principle on which Starfleet is based! Re: Men Of Good Conscience OOC
I have attached an image of a Prometheus class ship like the USS Alsea. In the image, it shows Multi-vector mode labeled as Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary. They are also described as Alpha, Beta and Gamma, which we are using. I just want to confirm which vector each of us will be manning to eliminate any confusion.
We have established that Kheren will manning the Beta, which I would assume would be the Secondary vector. Let’s confirm the vector we are currently on and that Jureth will be manning so that I know which Syntron will be manning, which would seem to be Primary based on the image, but then again, it would seem like Jureth would remain on the Primary based on name. In that case, Syntron would be manning the Tertiary. Please confirm or clarify.

I am used to primary, Secondary and Tertiary, but will defer to the Greek if ya'll must.
On a further note, the below MSD will show the 3 bridges in relation to each other. See if you can find all three and win a free bottle of Picard 2386! ( not! )

The first two bridges are labeled in this schematic. The third is not, but can be found on the lower left based on the design/layout of the first two.
So, which one will Syntron be occupying and which one for Jureth?

Re: Men Of Good Conscience OOC
Jureth is on the main bridge of course, right on the very top of the ship. That would be alpha module.
Kheren is in the beta module just underneath.
The tertiary bridge for the gamma module is not labelled but you can see it clearly just about right in the middle of the entire diagram where the lowest vertical turboshaft gives access to it.
That's where Syntron will be.

That's basically what I thought but didn't want to assume.
To me it's a bit helpful having a visual representation of these vectors as the story unfolds.

Most certainly useful.
Thanks for providing it. it will help everyone navigate the main set of the story.

Is that the late, great USS Artemis I see coming out?
Ah no it's a mere Galaxy class
