December 31, 2018.
Salutation's Lotus Fleet.
As we close the year out and look ahead to 2019, I would like to thank you all for your trust. This has been an interesting tenth year for Lotus Fleet, but we are still kicking.
Captain Picard once said; "...but I rather believe that time is a companion that goes with us on a journey and reminds us to cherish every moment... because it will never come again."
But I believe that this time will come again, in our memories. The past remembered is an indication that, as humanity evolves, we recall the trials and tribulations of our past and endeavour to apply the lessons learned into going forward.
As a fleet, we have not grown much numerically, but we have grown inspirationally. Some of us take on the sometimes burdensome task's of keeping an eye on our forums, and for this I gratefully thank you for your service's.
We also have a great presence in our beloved game, Star Trek Online. We are part of a great armada there, under the leadership of UFP. Many a deal is conducted with Ferengii's, and perhaps even with the odd Klingon. As the game progresses, many of us strive for that next level of console, or that next iteration of a beloved ship class.
While doing so, you are also keeping the dream alive. The dream Gene Roddenberry conceived over 50 years ago is still alive in the game.
So, as we look ahead to the last year of the second decade of the second millenium, I would remind all of you of this: It is just 44 years until the flight of the Phoenix.
Live Long And Prosper.

Re: Welcome to 2019.
I remember during the beta that glitch where you would beam down to the planet as your ship. We laughed at how long it took to fix that even after launch. Hard to believe you nerds have been kicking around for a decade. I am glad to have been here for that ride.

And if you can't find it within yourself to stand up and tell the truth about what happened, you don't deserve to wear that uniform! " - Captain Picard from TNG Episode 'The First Duty'

Man looking at those images I think I just felt nostalgic and then threw up in my mouth a little.
