Introduction
This is the ship that was created for a periodic posting to our former Lotus Fleet Newsletter. This was not part of our normal RP, but is equally important in our RP universe. The current In-Character status of the ship is that it is lost on the other side of the Azimuth Horizon.

Function: Ferrying journalists to and from Starbase 10, San Francisco, and other places that Lotus Fleet is involved in extended rescue, medical, or combat operations. Normally a science vessel, this specific Nova-class has been modified for the purpose of transportation and the normally large science crew complement has been reduced to a standard cruiser number. Some of the science labs have also been converted into conference and interview rooms.

- Emergency Medical Overflow room
- Event / Dance hall for formal events and parties
- Press Room for journalists to interview officers making a formal statement
- Other usual Holodeck activities (only if no one else is already using it, and you're not interrupting meal times or other planned activities)

Background:
Caroline spent most of her childhood playing with the boys her age in the streets of Liège. Her father, Jacques Rousseau, grew up in Liège and was an ambassador to Vulcan and wasn't around much. Her mother, Carlita Cruz, was originally from Puerto Rico and was a Starship engineer and designer so she spent a lot of her time at the plant. Which meant Caroline was often looked after by a nanny or tutor and she would ocassionally slip away to play or fight with the local kids.
Later in school, she was very athletic, but too aggressive for many of the contact sports, so she never was able to keep up with any one thing for very long. She was very intelligent and picked up on many subjects easily. She later decided to go to Starfleet Academy and channel her aggression into the Security field.
She passed the Academy entrance exam on her first try and went through the Academy in three years. She was lucky enough to have her first posting on the USS Enterprise-E and she rose through the ranks quickly on several ships to become Commander and Executive Officer of the USS Nuntio.

Parents
Saurians have no identifiable parents short of a full genetic scan and matching with the Saurian database, wich is not allowed under Saurian-Federation membership agreement. Saurians are able to see their mutual parentage at a glance but never bother with it. Saurians also have a perfect genetic memory back to their earliest racial ancestors but it does not have any family meaning as other species conceive it.

Saurians consider themselves all siblings, as far as this notion is effectively meaningless to them.
Family History
Each Saurian family history dates back to the species coming to sentience; possibly even farther. Limited to the individual lifespan, there is no family history or experience whatsoever.
Personal History
Shaell (as he is usually called) emerged alone from Haanssaethraeh(where all Saurian eggs hatch) as all the other eggs had been devoured by rampaging Kzintis during the last '' War of the Stars'' between the two people. Hatching sooner than the others, he alone escaped, killing several of the cat people before plunging into a sandstorm that left him alone the only survivor. He went through the Path of Silence like all Saurians but took many years more than usual to emerge from the great desert. This long desert isolation made him unusually sociable for one of his species and longing much for the stars, his only friends all those years.
When he appeared out of the desert near a Federation outpost on the planet, he was welcomed by Starfleet personnel and decided to join so as to reach out to his only friends: the stars.
Medical History (if any)
Shaell suffered all the usual serious injuries decades of growing alone in a harsh environement is prone to cause. Starfleet medical ressources erased all traces of these ordeals from his body.
Since his initial medical examination upon entering Starfleet Academy and subsequent yearly physicals during his career, no annotation on his medical file are found.

Kobayashi Maru result
Schaell was the first cadet to ever attempt the first edition of the original KM test. He defeated the test by provoking the Klingon leaders to a personal duel aboard their ship, his sacrifice allowing his own ship to tractor out the Kobayashi Maru and escape. Since then, the test made for the Klingons to jam all frequencies and refuse any communication, making it finally a true ''no-win scenario'' as seen later when James T. Kirk, and years afterwards Lieutenant Saavik, took the test.

Appearance - A 6'2 male with white skin and blue eyes. Devin has strong Denoubulan ridges on his face and around his eyes. With a slightly protruding jaw and dark brown hair kept medium to long.
Backstory - Devin is a Denobulan born on a science colony in the Denobula Triaxa System. As a child Devin moved with his family to Mars when his parents started work with a Starfleet research facility located on the planet.
Growing up on Mars Devin never fit in with the younger generation, so he spent most of his time with the elders in the city. Sadly growing up around the Mars elders Devin heard many angry stories of the Martian revolution and eventual joining of the Federation. The regret and disdain for an act the elders considered betrayal confused the young Denobulan, but lead to an interest of Federation history especially within the Sol System.
Around this time Devin developed a knack for fixing the equipment in his parents science lab. Developing several circuit systems and a power matrix Devin was encouraged by his parents to go to Earth and apply for Starfleet. With a love of other cultures, history, and the stories of a fight for independence that resulted in the freedom to join the Federation fresh in his mind Devin entered Starfleet academy.

Background:
Mikaela Sirus is the offspring of an Orion mother and a human father though from looking at her one would assume she is a full blooded Orion. She was raised on Earth by her mother after her father, a Federation diplomatic attache, was killed during the Breen attack on Starfleet headquarters in the Dominion War.
Mikaela's childhood was a rough one with no father, and being one of the few Orions to ever set foot on earth. She was instantly labeled as different by other children her age, and was ridiculed by them. She had few friends as a young girl, and a strong desire to get away from life on Earth. At the same time, she had some memories of stories her father told her before his death about all of the stars and planets he'd seen accompanying Federation ambassadors on their missions. So, when she was old enough she applied to Starfleet Academy and was accepted to the sciences track.
Mikaela graduated from the academy in the middle of her class with a specialty in cosmology and a minor in stellar cartography. Her first posting was as an assistant science officer aboard the Intrepid Class U.S.S. Tranquility.
Mikaela's career, and her life were almost cut abruptly short when the Borg launched their all out invasion of Federation space. The Tranquility was boarded during the assault and Mikaela was injected with Borg nanoprobes while fighting to protect her ship. When the Borg were destroyed Mikaela was freed of their influence but her scars remained.
She was cleansed of the nanoprobe infestation with almost no physical scars, but like so many others she was connected to the Borg Collective and the emotional scars still exist. After two months of therapy, and rehabilitation Mikaela was reinstated by Starfleet to active duty. Her assignment as the Nuntio's chief science officer is her first since the battle and is being considered a test of her recovery by Starfleet Command.
Medical History: Partially assimilated by Borg during Borg Invasion. Cleansed of nanoprobe infestation and implants. Small scars near right eye and on her neck remain despite dermal regeneration treatments.
Psychological Profile: Submitted by Dr. T'Vrell: Patient still occasionally hears echoes of destroyed Borg Collective and suffers from occasional nightmares as well. Patient's mental state is stable, but may require future counseling sessions to remain that way. Reinstatement to active duty is recommended to reintroduce normalcy to patient's life. Recommend assignment to non-combatant command.

Personal History: Her mother was a prominent trader on Betazed when the Dominion and Cardassians occupied the planet. She was then captured and utilized in the experiments of a Cardassian scientist to create telepathic Cardassians.
Several "subjects" were lost until Marissa was born to her a mere month before the Betazoids re-took the planet from the Dominion.
Helena raised her daughter as best she could and Marissa grew into a determined and stubborn individual.
Marissa enlisted into Starfleet at the age of 21, seeing the tactical and security field as a way to release her pent-up aggression. She is an exceptional officer, but her anger tends to get her into trouble. She has twice been demoted for striking a superior officer, only just now achieving the rank of Lt. Cdr for the second time.
The decision was made to assign her to the USS Nuntio in an attempt to help her finally curb her more violent tendencies.

Andrew, or Andy as he's called by family and friends, was raised in a rural area outside of Forsythe. His parents had a small farm. His father taught English at the local school, and his mother wrote fiction at home. Mark followed in his father's footsteps and became a journalist. Lukas, like Andy, yearned for the stars and decided to join Starfleet. Lukas went on to be a pilot and specialized in Starship battle tactics. Marianna decided to become a veterinarian.
Personal History
Andy grew up with a love of science, fueled by walks on warm nights where his family could see the stars. His grandmother was a nurse, and taught him what she knew of medical science as he grew and asked questions. Eventually, he decided to pursue medicine as a career, but also as a Starfleet officer. He has just finished his medical degree, and will specialize in surgery and xenophysiology. While he had the intellectual potential to be the top of his class, he decided that having fun in life is also important. As a result, he ended up with above-average instead of superior grades. "Fun" consisted of anything that was generally legal/moral. While not as free-spirited as his parents, he is still not one who rigidly follows rules to the letter. He appreciates a good Romulan ale or Chateau Picard and playing Dabo. At the Academy, his roommate was a Ferengi named Xam, from whom he learned all his Dabo, financial, and negotiation skills.

No significant medical history except for a couple ankle sprains from slipping on wet rocks when jumping over streams, and a wrist sprain from attempting to break a board in martial arts class.
