I liked Voyager too BL. Other than the infamous episode that shall not be named, it was quite good. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to keep the Intrepid in the race, and with a 7-4 win, the D'deridex takes the Romulans to the next round. A toast of Romulan Ale would be appropriate.
Next we have a battle between the Klingon Negh'Var and the Federation Nebula.
Klingon Negh'Var
Specifications
As the largest Klingon ship to date, the Negh'Var is a space-faring fortress and the flagship of the Klingon fleet during the Dominion War (albeit captained by a Changeling infiltrator). The armament is quite impressive with 20 disruptor cannons and 8 "Triple-Fire" photon torpedo rounds. Its defensive capabilities are equally impressive with a reinforced armored hull and a structural integrity field rated triple the standard.
Federation Nebula
Specifications
The Nebula was developed in the mid-24th century as a smaller counterpart to the Galaxy that could be produced in greater numbers. It has many of the same features and capabilities as the Galaxy, such as saucer separation, but is approximately 66% of the size. Even the armament is comparable, but smaller, with 2 Type-3 photon torpedo tubes (same as Galaxy), and 8 Type-X phaser bank arrays (the Galaxy has 12). Similar to the D'Kora and other ships of the time, the normal cruising rate is Warp 6 and a Maximum rate of 9.4.

Victor? Negh'Var
LOL I would hardly call a Nebula class a "little bunny". Your description would be accurate if we were talking about an Oberth class, Miranda, or Nova class ships, perhaps even a Sabre class....but not a Nebula.
I do like the Nebula; it's a solid ship. It's a decent heavy cruiser; a multi-mission class of starship though it always seems to be associated with a science vessel.
That said, the Negh'Var is pretty freakin awesome. While it certainly doesn't have the scientific capabilities of a Nebula, I will vote Negh'Var.

I've gone with the Negh'Var on this one.
Although the smaller "Galaxy class" Nebula is particularly suited to it's role ( I would call it 'Passive Aggresive', heh heh), the Klingon capitol ship would just overwhelm the Nebula, imho.

Re: Starship Smackdown!
For how much I love the Nebula design and have used it as a ship in STO several times, I must go with the Klingons on this one. In a straight up fight I feel the Nebula would be just over matched.

Well, after a clear victory of 8-2 for the Klingon Negh'Var over the Federation Nebula, we come to our last match-up in the Sweet 16!
I would naturally tend to deem the next one a runaway, but there seems to be a devoted following for the little Federation Miranda, so good luck to that ship as they take on the Federation Sovereign!
Federation Sovereign
Specifications
The successor to the famous Galaxy-class captained by Jean Luc Picard is a sleeker design that still maintains a lot of what made the Galaxy-class so revolutionary. The size is slightly smaller with its slimmer width and height, but it still is large enough to hold the crew's immediate family, along with being able to evacuate thousands of refugees. In terms of armament, it is comparable to the Galaxy-class, but with upgraded phasers, the addition of 2 more photon torpedo tubes, and 1 additional torpedo tube for the new, more powerful quantum-type that had been added to the Defiant and other newer models.
Federation Miranda
Specifications
This stalwart defender has been the bread & butter of the Federation fleet from the late 23rd century on into the early 25th. While not big or overly powerful, it could hold its own in a firefight with 6 Type VII phaser banks and 2 photon torpedo tubes.

Re: Starship Smackdown!
The only reason the Miranda made it this far is because the numbers game as part of their last battle. In a one on one fight that ship just does not match up. The Sovereign is a battle cruiser and packs the kind of punch that would tear the Miranda to shreds.

Actually that's not true. When I realized I was giving them an unfair edge, I scrapped that one and put up another vote for 1 Miranda vs 1 Scimitar. They squeaked by even with that match-up. Granted, I should've given the vote a longer timespan, but hindsight is 20-20. However, the 7 people who did vote for that one still decided on the Miranda.
As I've said many, many, many times before, the votes in this game do not have to be about pure combative comparisons, so saying that the Sovereign would tear the Miranda to shreds, while true, is obvious and not a reason only to vote for the Sovereign. It is about the ships we like as a Fleet based on many different comparisons.

Re: Starship Smackdown!
In its day, the Miranda was a solid ship. A medium cruiser; not tough enough to take on a Constitution heavy cruiser or the revolutionary Excelsior class, but it certainly could hold its own. Just keep in mind that the Miranda was never a revolutionary design.
That said, please...the Sovereign class out-classes the Miranda in every way. When launched, the Sovereign class was the most advanced ship in the fleet; revolutionary in its time.
