 Their relative strength indices being equal, I have never-the-less chosen the D-7 over the Vulcan's. It is the classic Klingon ship first encountered by Captain Archer.
 ... annnnd, I built one as a model rocket back in the 70's. It flew superbly ... twice!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Archer actually encounter the D5? Not that it detracts from its classic-ness (perhaps possibly adds to it, with the prequel being the newest of the shows).

You are correct Evshell; Captain Archer encountered the D5.  Captain Kirk encountered the D7; of course we saw Kirk and the D7 long before seeing the D5 in episode.  **Non-Cannon**If the fan-film Prelude to Axanar is to be referenced, the D7 was built in response to the Federation's new Ares class.  (The Ares class had been designed to take out the D6).  And the Constitution class was being designed to stay ahead of the Klingons, specifically the D7.

I agree with Kheren...this is a difficult one as the D7 is the first Klingon vessel that we ever saw and is quite iconic.  However, the Vulcan D'kyr is a whole new spin on starship design that we hadn't seen in Trek before... well, almost. Does anyone remember the Tarellian starship from the TNG first season episode "Haven"?  True, not an exact match, but a very similar profile.



None the less, my vote is for the D'Kyr.

Even though I really, really like this iconic Klingon ship, Syntron apparently applied a Vulcan Mindmeld and placed an involuntary power of suggestion to vote for the Vulcan D'Kyr.

In actuality, these are among my favorite non Federation ships so it was really tough to choose between them.

Well, my favorite non-Federation ship lost against the Klingon D7 8-6. It was a close fight, but the Vulcans have been bumped out of the competition!

Uh, oh, the Borg Cube emerges again in a battle with the Cardassian Keldon!

Cardassian Keldon

Specifications
As a newer, more powerful replacement for the Galor-class, the Keldon-class is a well-armed, defensible, and all around reliable ship. The size and firepower is approximately equivalent to a Federation Intrepid class, with more focus on beam weapons including a high-power phaser bank and 14 spiral wave disruptors, although it does sport 4 photon torpedo tubes as well. With this kind of firepower, it was a powerful force in the Alpha quadrant, albeit outmatched by some of the more powerful Federation vessels, such as the Akira, Galaxy, and Sovereign.

Borg Cube

Specifications
First encountered by the USS Enterprise-D in 2365, this Borg vessel is by far one of the biggest, most powerful, and most durable ship in the Galaxy, second only to its successor, the Borg Tactical Cube. Any direct combat with this behemoth will certainly require an armada of ships or some ingenious improvisation. It is equipped with phasers and a distinctive kinetic cutting beam to cut through shields and hull at the same time. The ship has redundancies that allow it to function even when 80% of its hull is damaged. It is able to travel through Transwarp conduits, which means it can get anywhere in the galaxy within days. 2 Borg cubes were destroyed in 2 different distinctive battles. The first in 2366 at Wolf 359 resulted in a catastrophic loss of Starfleet life and 39 of the 40 ships that were amassed to stop it. In 2373, dozens more ships were destroyed in the Battle of Sector 001.

Resistance is futile!  Unless you're Species 8472...or the Enterprise... or Voyager... or some other species with advanced technology... so really resistance is not futile.
