If you would like to submit a possible candidate for the new banner on our site, we would love to see it! However, there are a few guidelines we would like you to follow when designing your submission.
Standards for Banner Submissions:
- The Lotus Flower should be featured prominently and the only words should be "Lotus Fleet", clearly displayed.
- Colors should be Purple, Blue, and White, similar to the colors in the existing banner and lotus flower. This has always been the general theme of Lotus Fleet, which also you will note is very prevalent in the website theme itself.
- The size of the image should be 1514x142. However, the main content should not extend beyond the width of 950. This is to accommodate the different sizes within the layouts of the Forums, RP site, and Academy. The remainder of the image past the 950 mark should be background that blends well with the background of the site, such as a basic starfield.
- If any images from games are featured, the game should be based on Star Trek (such as STO). The images should be original works based on screenshots taken by the artist, not copied from the game's promotional material.
- If any starbase is featured, it should be the Capital-class Starbase displayed in our current banner.
- If any starships are featured, they should represent the Lotus Fleet RP ships. If a single ship is featured, it should be the "Lotus-class" flagship.
- The "Lotus-class" USS Horizion: The Lotus-class is similar to the attached images of the "Voriah", except for a few details that are different: 1) The saucer section is more of a perfect circular shape as in the Ambassador-class. 2) The sensor dome underneath the saucer section is larger. 3) Seen from above, the hull/body is sleeker and longer as in the Galaxy-class. 4) The hull/body is larger vertically (more decks) and has a deeper cut-out in the back to provide for the ability for the Aquarius-class light escort to dock. 5) The ship is 1285 meters in length and 927 meters wide, so if featured in proximity to the Starbase, this should be taken into account. The Starbase is 4391 meters in diameter and 2178 meters in height. 6) Current name and registry:
