Having written a couple of star trek stories well more than a couple. I thought about each of us portraying our own role as we are in the clan; Into a storyline narrative that each of us gets to participate in. Each of us adding our own imagination and portrayal of your character in rpg fashon to the storyline. Only rule is nothing streamy enough to be in a porno, and be true to your character, dont step out of character; Be your character and see how the story takes shape. I'm using sto character names and ships for the story. My STO character name is Timothy Picard. If your not tagged you can immerse yourself into the storyline only, stay on topic.
Space ....the word brings to the imagination endless possibilities. Always in form and without, moving and static, both subtle and gross. Countless life forms scattered through the expanse of the universe. Yet in view one starship protruding into it's darkness. Comming closer , and closer untill the view goes through a window into brdige conference room. There the officers of the USS Wolf; Under command of Captain Timothy Picard. Great grandson of retired Admiral Jean Luc Picard, discuss with his officers, Unaware of a event unfolding around them.
"Well looks like we got everything covered... dismissed" says Captain T. Picard as his communicator chirped. "Bridge to Captain Picard" came the voice from 1st officer Riker johanson. "Timothy tapped his communicator " Go ahead". "Sir starbase Lotus reported they were being attacked, before communications were cut off, I scanned the area and there appears to be a jamming signal sir". Timothy rose to his feet and ran through the conference door to the bridge. "Set course and engage warp 9" He ordered; "RED ALERT .... ALL HANDS TO BATTLESTATIONS". Alert Klaxxons rent the air, "Contact the USS Maveric, and USS Betelgeuse. Get me Vice Admiral Spawner, and Fleet Captain BLZBUB in joint conference imemdiatly"
Stars warp by out the window of the captains ready room. There Timothy Picard sat going over sensor information looking at the jamming frequencies. Trying to identify any signature. The door chimed. "Come in" he said. First officer Johanson walked through the door walked up and stood at front of the desk. "Captain, Admiral Spawner, and Fleet Captain Blzbub are online; and These are the duty roster reports you requested.. sir" She said handing captain the data pads."Thank you Commnder" responded Picard. "ETA to starbase Lotus?" he questioned. "3 hours sir" she replied then turned around and exited the ready room as the doors open and closed with a swish.
The screen on the captains desk came on and the images of Admiral Spawner, and Fleet Captain Blzbub appeared side by side. "Greetings Admiral, Fleet Captain, i trust you have been apprised of the current situation?"

Re: Lotus Fleet: Storyline Continuum
“Captains log; Star date 87828.59.
We have finished our patrol of the Azure nebula and headed back to base for some much-needed R&R. The crew of the USS Betelgeuse has been at it for over sixty hours straight, and we need some down time. No new anomalies detected and no presence of suspected Romulan activity found. Looks like it was just another wild goose chase. But it was good to get out into space again. End log.”
Rogers filed the report and was turning toward his ready room desk, a spartan surface with just the essentials, when his number one, Commander Sean Andrews, contacted in from the bridge.
‘Sir, we’ve received a garbled signal from base, but it’s undecipherable. No answer to hails.’
“I’ll be right out,” David responded as he started to close down his equipment. A few seconds later, as he powered down the superfluous equipment, Andrews connected with him again.
‘Sir, incoming message from the Wolf.’
“Send it here commander,” Rogers snapped automatically as he re-sat in front of his desk and activated the view screen in his desk. As it rose to prominence into his view, the display came alive with the images of Vice Admiral Spawner of the USS Maverik and Captain Picard of the USS Wolf. Timothy Picard open dialogue as soon as the image clarified itself.
‘"Greetings Admiral, Fleet Captain, I trust you have been apprised of the current situation?"
“Captain Picard, no. We received one garbled transmission from star base 10, but we cannot establish contact. What’s going on?”

Re: Lotus Fleet: Storyline Continuum
While I appreciate the enthusiasm, Jack, we already have Star Trek RP that you can join, and we have a lot of spots open. I'd prefer you first involve yourself in our existing RP before trying to start a new story. It's only fair to those who have already put in a lot of work on our 2 active stories that new members join those and supplement them with their creativity and talents!
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me and the 2 existing ship captains, Jeff T and Kheren. We can discuss what role would be best suited for you in our RP.
Thanks,
Evshell

Re: Lotus Fleet: Storyline Continuum
Buzzkill I was unaware you had a forum rp , however the total intererst i had was inthis storyline. To see how it evolved. To bad it cant be incorporated into your rp. I do have an interest in rp. I have a very creative mind and writing skills. Does your rp sessions go by sto players and their ships or by fleet forum ranks.? I for one who do not belive in no win situations, i perfer endless possibilities. With free expression of ones own character within the characters estbalished traits.

Re: Lotus Fleet: Storyline Continuum
Sorry this got off on the wrong foot, I just wanted to incorporate you into our RP, because I can see you have a very creative mind. Our RP has been a pillar and part of the foundation of our Fleet since its inception in 2008, which is why it is featured prominently as one of the 3 main links on the top-left of this site, as well as the first link in the main Starship RP forum.
We do not use in-game or fleet ranks, it is a well-established framework starting with new applicants at Lt. J.G. who may then continue to rank up both by showing a willingness to stick with it (based on number of stories they participated in it), as well as substantial and quality writing. For example, the 2 captains who I mentioned have been in many stories; Kheren is currently participating in his astounding 16th story and Jeff T in his 7th.
We have a whole application process with the ability to fill out a character profile, and add your own personal NPCs for your department, so its quite in-depth and provides the player the ability to interact in the story with a character with known and established traits.
We allow people to write their own solutions to problems just as a real Starfleet officer would. Of course, it is up to the Captain to decide which solution is actually implemented. The Captain is the "GM" and runs the story and guides the overall plot, but every player has a significant impact on the outcome of the story.
That being said, if all you want to do is write your own story, that's fine, I'd just prefer you try out our RP first and see how you like it, and maybe you can do both.

Re: Lotus Fleet: Storyline Continuum
Don't get me wrong, I am very interested in joining, and being a part of it. And i am more than willing to put my all into it. I just didnt know or forgot about the fleet rp (been away for a bit moving and all) What i meant by characters established traits, which als includes the characters "profile" or "bio" but also the first few posts establishes the character traits, as Tuvovk said about the Vulcan Dictates of Poetics, "A character's actions must flow, inexorably, from his or her established traits"
As for stories i write i would like to give you an example this is the preface of the story i am currently writing. Blzbub helped me with parts of speech and corrections.
Preface
Space..... the word brings up infinite images to mind. Insatiable diversity both subtle and gross. Creation and destruction, always in form and moving; ascertaining constant change over eons. The blackness of space, littered with endless stars, fly by faster than the speed of light through the view of the narrow window on the Vulcan Cruiser Kre'Treslee. There consciousness observes the complete lifetime of one Vulcan. Observes the complete memory. Observes how it differs with his own life. A decisive ambiguity prevails in seeing his future self's memories of a reality that no longer exists. Emotions perturbed beneath the Vulcan control as he perceived moments with his mother that never happened for him, and never will. The transposition of the memories and katra of Spock had completed. The Vulcan master removed his hands from both of Spock's faces. The Meld transference was over.
Spock, laying on the bio bed, looked out the window into space then up to his younger self in this alternate reality; Held up his hand in the Vulcan sign of greeting. His lips anguished to say these final words as his life come to conclusion. The younger Spock grabbed them with his, embracing them and looking into each others eyes. The emotions came screaming to the surface, tears welled up in the younger Spocks eyes. Finally the words broke through; "Live Long And Prosper". Then he collapsed. The sounds from the bio bed erupted. Spock kneeled down, resting his head. The emotions were to much to hold back. Tears streamed down his face and moans and wails echoed through the room. A medical technitian in blue uniform laid out a Vulcan burial sheet over his body. The sickbay room was dimmed, light from the stars shine through the window and then....... out into space.
Space..... The Final Frontier. These Are The Voyages Of The Starship Enterprise. It's Unique Mission. To Explore Strange New Worlds. To Seek Out New Life And New Civilizations. To Boldly Go Where None Have Gone Before.
any thoughts??
