For two days now, each time I try to "engage" into the game I get the following message:
fatal error: the graphic device or driver encountered an unrecoverable internal error and must exit. Please restart the application. If the error persists, restart the computer.
I encounter this same problem when I try to log into CO and NW. All other games I have start and play smoothly. All other graphical applications on the computer and on the web run smoothly.
I restarted the application; no change.
I restarted the computer; no change.
I cleaned up, defragmented and made space on my disk; no change.
I made a restoration back to the last day before the problem appeared; no change.
I looked for viruses and cleaned up the system; no change.
I sent a ticket to Cryptic; awaiting an answer.
Anyone else having such issues?

Re: problem loging in
My launcher will not engage at all.According to the forums, there is a lot of this going on world wide. I don't know if it is at Cryptic's end, Perfect Worlds issue ... or the ARC launcher itself.
I looked on the forums here: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=857041&page=2

Re: problem loging in
Me too.
I was receiving a message stating "An email with an authorization code has been sent to your account..." except that no such email has been sent... even after 3+ hours.
here was their eventual response:
HelloThank you for contacting us about your issue. We in Customer Service are unfortunately unable to generate or send new Account Guard codes. The system sends these codes, automatically, to the email address registered to your game account. Please log out of all games and sites, then try logging in again. You should receive a new email with the code, each time you attempt to log in.If you don't see the code in your inbox, please check your Junk and Spam email folders. Make sure you have whitelisted our email addresses, "webmaster@crypticstudios.com", "donotreply@crypticstudios.com", and "email@email.perfectworld.com".Should you continue to have trouble, or if you try to login and don't see an Account Guard email within 30 minutes of logging in again, kindly let me know and I will be happy to assist you further. Please be sure to include your account User Name.I hope this information is helpful. Thank you for playing! For more information, check out this site: http://crypticstudios.com/accountguard- ... ---Perfect World Support
Then... they listed the issue as resolved... even though nothing changed. So I sent them this message:
I have tried this recommendation multiple times over many hours and no email message has been sent other than the one from customer service. Why is this occurring? This is the same computer I 've been using since the spring. I have a lifetime subscription since beta! Can someone actually doing something to resolve this rather than just acknowledging my issue and listing it as "resolved" when nothing has been resolved? This time I'm attaching a screenshot of my account info along with the message requiring code verification (that has yet to be sent). Please doing something that actually fixes this problem.
Lets see if anything changes....

Re: problem loging in
Well ain't that great.
Since I could not access the game anymore I tried to reinstall it; but then I got to install this ARC thing which is supposed to start the download by itself... nothing happened. I clicked on the download button... and got a message that the file doesn't exist!
And to file a ticket, I must be in game they say...
Looks my STO career has come to an abrupt end.
EDIT: well seems the download finally started... don,t ask me why or how... now to see if the game will be accessible again...

You can also contact them through the STO website too if the download doesn't complete or is faulty.
