Lotus Fleet Newsletter #12 June 2015
Posted: Fri Jul 17, 2015 3:51 pm
Greetings Fleet members and Friends of Lotus Fleet!
We are presenting our next issue of our Fleet Newsletter for 2015: issue #12.
It is with a very heavy heart that I inform the fleet of the passing of our former Newsletter Editor Commodore Storm Windfall. With her final vestiges of energy she not only churned out the last issues of the Newsletter, but also managed to recruit and train our newly appointed Newsletter Writer Lieutenant J.G. Arina to take the reins of this issue of the Newsletter.
You can see Storm's influence in our now Acting Editor's presentation of this new issue and I hope everyone in the fleet will take a moment not only to remember Storm, but to thank Lieutenant J.G. Arina for her willingness and effort in continuing with our Newsletter tradition. This meant a lot to Storm knowing that the Newsletter was in good hands and would be continuing on without her.
A future issue will have a more informative tribute to Storm based on conversations we've had over these past years and items shared; including the image of her added on page 29 of this current issue. If you somehow missed the last issue (#11) there is the last interview of her included.
So what will you see this time around? With the contributions of our fleet members in combination with the effort and creativity of our Acting Newsletter editor, here are this issues offerings:
-A few home-truths by Sorripto
-Phoenix ComiCon 2015: A Con to Remember by Admiral Jeff T
-RP Update by Admiral Kheren
-STO Update by Admiral Athos
-STO Tips and Tricks by Rear Admiral Battle Lion
-Awards, Promotions and Organ Donations
-Msision to Horatius by Mack Reynolds
-Editor’s Corner
-Important Links
Along with other various things sprinkled in
As mentioned previously, we would still like to expand the content and scope of the each upcoming issue. With the loss of our beloved former Newsletter Editor, we sincerely need more involvement from a variety of our fleet members. All fleet members are welcome to submit their own ideas and/or articles, but we would also like to have at least a few members step-up into an active role to keep our Newsletter going and to assist our new Acting Editor.
So "Thank you" to any and all contributors for this edition and feel free to send your questions, comments, suggestions, and/or articles to Lieutenant J.G. Arina or myself!
Please download and peruse through this new issue at your convenience!
