Lotus Fleet Donations Page/Button
Posted: Wed Jan 21, 2015 11:52 am
Greetings Lotus Fleet members,
New in 2015 we have added a much needed feature to our website:
A Donation page
You may have noticed the gold button with black lettering (Donate) just below our top banner.
The purpose and goal of our new Donation page is to help offset the ongoing cost of maintaining this site and our Teamspeak account. Unlike Star Trek of the future, operating our site is not a free endeavor.
Clicking on this button will not only allow you to see what donations have been given by our generous and caring members, but how that money has been used thus far to allow us to exist and interact online since we opened this site in 2012.
This location will also allow all members to make small donations at any time that can be used for any/all future costs of maintaining our fleet's accounts, rather than the burden falling all at once on one individual at a time; which has been the case up to this point.
Currently, we are raising funds to pay for the costs involved when our current subscriptions expire. A much easier and fair proposition to build this slowly and steadily over time with everyone's assistance rather than trying to generate a large quantity of funds at the last minute.
We have a "Financial Benefactors"... award that will be presented to each member that donates a minimum of $100.00. This is accumulative, so that any member can donate in small increments over time... example $10 one time, $5 another, $20 another time... there is no limit or set amount to donate and this can all be paid through Paypal.
So... feel free to donate $17.01 or $170.10 or even $1701 (Enterprise tribute) if you'd like. But you'll have to do the math on those ones since PayPal does skim a small portion from donations.

So in advance, I would like to thank all of the individuals involved that allow our fleet to continue on its missions for another year and beyond. It is through continued support and involvement by our members that Lotus Fleet continues on.
Sincerely,
Admiral Jeff T
Fleet Commanding Officer (acting)
