Thanks to Battle Lion's Advice this is what I have to fly when I feel like doing elite STFs.

U.S.S. D'Vir*
Dreadnaught Cruiser (Galaxy X), Federation
Captain: T'Pring, Vulcan (Alien)**

Forward Weapons; Experimental Romulan Plasma Beam Array, Wide Angle Quantum Torpedo, Plasma beam Array XI, Plasma beam Array XII.
Aft Weapons; Plasma Beam Array XI x3, Kinetic Cutting Beam XII

Deflector; M.A.C.O. Graviton Deflector XII
Impulse; M.A.C.O. Impulse Engine XII
Warp; Elite Fleet Hyper-Charged Warp Core XII [Sep] [A->W] {Acap} [AMP] [SSS]
Shields; Elite Adaptive Resilient Shield Array XII

Devices; Weapon Batteries, Heavy Plasma Satellites, Subspace Field Modulator, Nimbus Pirates Distress Call

Engineering Consoles; (U) Antimatter Spread, (U) Assimilated Module, (U) Saucer Separation, Enhanced Neutronium Alloy Mk XII [+Turn]
Science Consoles; Emitter Array XI [-Th][Pla], (U)
Tactical Consoles; Vulnerability Locator XII [+pla] x3

Hangar; Danube Runabouts

My Skills; http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?build=tpring_6042
(Tac Captain)

DoFF; Purple Tac Projectile Weapons Officer (Torp Recharge, Purple Technician (Ability recharge speed) x3, Exocomp (+ability with batter use)

Station; Lt Cmd Engineer: Emergency Power to Shields 1, Aux Power to E Battery 1, Directed Energy Modulation 2
Station; Lt Science: Science Team 1, Hazard Emitters 2

Is it perfect?  Nope!  Im still tinkering with things but its quite enoyable to blow things to smithereens.  Makes the Marks for the rep grind go much faster.

Thanks so much to Battle Lion for making the game much more fun to play :D

* = D'Vir being according to legend the brutal Warlord ruler of ruler of the city of Devlarmby whi built the first Warp Capable ship in Vulcan History
** = At the time I made her Vulcans couldnt get many of the traits I wanted in a captain so I rolled an alien and made her look Vulcan.

wow! this looks really good! i bet you're pulling in about 10K dps with this setup. im glad things have come together for you so nicely and that youre enjoying the game and the clouds of dust that used to be your enemies

but if you wanted to do even more damage, i have a couple of very easy to implement suggestions about your BOFF powers and doffs.

You can keep the nimbus pirate distress call in your characters inventory and still use it. you dont actually have to slot it! go to the Alhena system in Eta eridani and do the daily mission there for some Deuterium surplus, which are consumable evasive manuevers. very handy!

because you are Aux to Batting, you only need 1 copy of each other skill, so you can swap beam fire at will 2 for attack pattern beta 1, which should increase your damage noticeably.

you can also swap directed energy modulation 2 for emergency power to weapons 3, which not only gives you heaps of weapon power, but gives you a brief damage boost as well.

if you find that you are dying too much, you can swap EPTS1 and EPTW3 to get EPTW1 and EPTS3, which will really buff those shields.

also about your doffs, the exocomp only procs on use of an actual battery, which you can only use every 2 minutes.

if you have some EC burning a hole in your pocket, look up a doff called VUCNAK. hes a blue quality doff. when ever you hit an emergency power to ability, he has a 30% chance to CLEAR ALL DEBUFFS ON YOU. the purple version is called Keel'el but usually is about 17 million. Vucnack is usually about 800K.

if you ahve lots of fleet credits, you can buy a SIXTH active doff slot for space.

other good choices are a purple shield distribution officer, they have a chance to regen some shields when you hit brace for impact. a warp core engineer can have a chance to increase all power levels when you hit an emergency power to ability and lets not forget the ever popular 40million EC doff, marion francis dulmur. who is popular but ultimately not that great anymore.

if you STILL have fleet credits left over, head to the embassy and get yourself 2x tactical romulan rare male BOFFs that have the SUPERIOR ROMULAN OPERATIVE trait. if you slot them on your ship you'll get +4% to your crit chance and +10% to your crit severity.

im actually kind of jealous that youre a tac and im an engineer for this build. i cap out at about 13K dps, but a tac with the same gear can probably hit 20-30 depending on the team.

Random Falchion Dreadnaught Captain: How do you pull agro so fast?
Me: I hit harder than you do.

I made the swaps and its a bit more...frantic of pace now playing but I certainly do hit harder.

Doff I went with 2 damage Control Engineers that have a 30% chance to reduce the recharge on all Emergency power to subsystem abilities by 30%.

I know the Exo needs to use batteries I hit the weapon batteries for a 10 second +10% damage buff.

I will look into the Boffs swapping the layout BTW turned into a Keystone Cops comedy.

Get engineer stripped to swap and train, find out you cant train borg.  Swap human find out I cant train DEM 3 if I replace it.  Return human, get confused, rearrange things so the human gets trained in Weapons and the borg gets trained in RSP.  I think it took an hour with the delays in this game, sheesh :P

Ill get rom rep 5 soon and get the updated fliers.  I applied this build to my KDF engineer's new Jem'Hadar Dreadnaught Carrier and Ive been very happy.  In fact Ive been thinking of trying the carrier fed side.  What it loses in a weapon bay it gains in fighters.

Oh a great example of how much better iI doing.  In Eleite the Cure Found I doing hit and run .. bouncing back to play D while leanding some fire support.  I managed to do that and not let a single ship through by myself successfully the entire fight.

Sweet!

this is so legit. it made me really happy to hear that your butt-kicking went up even more!

i just gotta say though, you dont need those warp core engineers. the three purple technicians and 2x aux to batt are sufficient to reduce everything to its global cooldown.

youre going to draw in some serious aggro now that your dps is this high. i'd recommend slotting some tankier rep traits and adding some tanky doffs. sometimes even i explode on STFs bc im not paying attention.

you dont have far left to go now before youve reached max potential on this ship. what are you going to do then?

ah I see, I also got the rep set with a 5% speed boost to abilities, think thats overkill?  Cause I got to admit ive been eying some of the other sets.

The hardest thing to give up would be my warp in sector space and my deflector dish graphic.  I love em!

Ive been dinking around on a KDF working on finding a ship that flies in a kinda similar way.  The Jem'Hadar Dreadnaught Carrier is my current love - I feel I lose one bema for one fighter slot and its well worth it.  Im currently playing with Anti-P on it but I keep being told go disruptor or go home.

who ever is telling you disruptor is better than AP is not correct. disruptor is VERY good...especially for team synergy, but AP will edge it out in damage. especially once the new crafting patch hits.

as far as your gear set goes, maco, adapted maco assimilated 2 piece with a fleet shield or coutner command deflector/rommie engines/fleet shield....its ultimately up to you. the 8472 deflector with rom engies will boost your dmg the most out of all of them, but maco/adapted/2piece borg are great for survivability too.

i get around sector space by slotting in the borg engines when i need to go somewhere, and slotting back my rommie engines before combat. that way i get warp 14 when i need it, and not when i dont.

If accuracy that spills over becomes crit wouldnt Console - Universal - Hydrodynamics Compensator be nice?
http://sto.gamepedia.com/Console_-_Tact ... ergy_Relay
The partner console is almost completey worthless the only phaser I have is either my wide angle or the lance.

Also Nukera Particle Generator with +10% accuracy with beams

the nukara console is the better bet of the two there. +10% base accuracy is more useful than +17.3 to starship accuracy. plus it gives shield power and boosts power insulators.  also boosts part gens so your grav well will do more damage. its a great console for a grav well cruiser like the ambassador.

I was thinking of swapping them in for my saucer sepperation and antimatter spread.  as much as I love them I dont feel that the two phasers (lance now wide angle and on the saucer) really add much to my damage and the Antimatter is a confuse so zero damage there.
