I need a screenshot of any player with the avenger class cruiser in sto. Getting images of one online has proved difficult. It must be angled faceing left to right or right toleft like this.

Image

make sure theimage is of the highest quality and  the background as dark as possible saved in png format. then email to jacknite2012@live.com or linked on this forum

Thanx

If you're using this for a LF logo with the USS Phoenix (Avenger-class) from our RP, just a note that this is not the same Avenger class that they added to STO. Jeff came up with the name prior to it being announced in STO. There are numerous pics on the ship specification page on the RP site here: rp/index.php/sim/specs/4

If you're really looking for the STO Avenger class then disregard this :-)

Moreover, a proper logo featuring a ship of LF should feature prominently if not alone the flagship.

Because it is the flagship of course... but also because it is a unique creation of LF RP and therefore will probably stay for at least as long as the first one which was merely an old Intrepid class (and lasted over 4 years). All other ships come and go at the whim of playing captains and RP admin and risk render the logo inaccurate and obsolete very quickly (for example, we had no less than 2 Nova class starships at one point... but each lasted less than a year and barely one RP story).

As said elsewhere, the problem is that the Lotus Class starship exists only in our RP and the only image currently available is the one on our banner.

To make others and the best possible approximation from existing images as I did there, you need to use:

1- Saucer section of the Ambassador class with a double-sized enlarged sensor dome underneath. The size of the saucer must be the same larger as the pylon-nacelle assembly wingspan.

2- Neck of the Galaxy class with the impulse engine on top instead of the middle of it.

3- Secondary hull of the galaxy class with the underbelly and stern of the Intrepid class added under it's own underbelly.

4- Pylons of the Constitution class refit angled from the base of the Galaxy class pylons to where the nacelles normally are. (note: the 3 Eugene laws must be respected: nacelles must be paired, see one another and be seen from any angle; hence the basic Galaxy class configuration used as a template).

5- Double the lenght of the Galaxy class nacelles.

6- A closer, detailed shot than the one above would also need to uniformized the windows shape and hull plating from all those various elements.

Have fun!

Then i cant use it at all. I swear you guys make it very difficult for us  graphic artists guys to do anything lol. Becuse there is no image of what you guys created anywhere in existance that i can use, sadly. Worked so hard on this to be stopped by this makes me wanna cry.

Think of this merely as a challenge rather than defeat. I'm certain that there is a way to create a usable model/images of the USS Horizon using the program Evshell mentioned or by some other means. Enthusiasts have been creating models of Starships long before 2013 with much less available software/programs.

Also, I have the files now with images/screenshots of the USS Phoenix and can forward them to you. I can also now get into STO and create new images of the ship if needed.

Just hang in there...  although a bit cumbersome, this process of trial-and-error often yields greater... more comprehensive and appropriate/accurate results.

It was simply the wrong ship class and I wanted to point that out before you spent too much time with the wrong one. Don't take it so personally.

I DID link you to a page with numerous pictures of the accurate ship class, in case you missed that. The USS Phoenix, Avenger-class is pulled from STO as a starship designer-manipulated creation by Jeff T taking the basic Star Cruiser (Tier 5) and building on it.

Yes, the Horizon is a completely original creation, but that doesn't mean we have to throw up our hands and give up. It just takes some time and patience. This is not a job. We do what we can when we can. RL takes precedence.

No no please dont misunderstand,  It was a complaint in frustration not defeat. And also a suggestion for future ships to  select something usable and not virtually impossible.

First, understand that we appreciate your efforts and enthusiasm in this... but also that we already have logos and banners and no need or desire to change any of it for now... At least it is far from being a priority for us atm. You can of course always make proposals and share ideas with us, but do not expect us to jump on proposals about things we do not need at present.

Second, a bit of explanation about our ships in RP.

We selected our own unique class for our RP exactly for that; to be unique and distinctive and challenging, not just another old galaxy class flying out there 50 years past i'ts prime like we see in most other RPs.

RP ship selection is first the choice of the RP captain selected to GM play on that ship. RP dept appoints such players as captains based on specific and detailed criterias, among them dedication, experience, longevity and writing/storytelling proven capability... and of course great availability to play/write. One major criteria is also the number of players available to crew ships.

Currently, we barely have the minimum of players for our two ships. One is the flagship, chosen and devized by several captains and the RP admin as a ship to inspire awe and excitement and leadership as only a distinctive capital ship can. I was offered the captaincy because of my availability and experience, even if it was not the ship I planned to captain/GM (not enough players for that one yet). The other elected captain was Jeff, and he,s the one who chose to use (but RP modify) an STO design for his science ship.

Redding is next in line to take over the Horizon if and when the third ship I  planned to captain can possibly be launched, pending foremost the addition of at least half a dozen new players to the ones we still have active. It's Class is already determined; it would be a Millenium class which would be basically a heavily modified Chimera class as seen in STO (details all defined but classified for now...)

That is how things stand for now regarding ships in RP.

As i posted before i never expect anyone to use anything i make. I leave that entirely up to them, and i strive relentlessly to make somethign they like.  Being disabled gives me a whole lot of time , and i try to keep myself busey, gaming, site building, makign graphics, music, videos etc. I'm like the energizer bunny rabit  energetic and passionate in what i do. I will continue to try to make something you guys might like  because i enjoy doing it. i figure sooner or later i'll come up with something you guys like and might choose to use. But inever expect it. I keep my expectations low, so anything  good is a pleasant suprise.

And i understand what your saying  about the ships, and i apologize for putting my frustrations on the forums.

:)

As my late martial arts master used to say; we might yell at each other but as long as we do at least we still talk to each other ;)

No harm done. And your work is quite good so we do aprreciate it. The fact that we use it or not officially is irrelevant. Art and creativity doesn't have to be utilitarian to be of value.
