Beta Info - Race/Character description

The new race and class talent system is one of the surprising changes (to me at least).  But its understandable given how hard it can be to pick the right set up for your captain.  When I was new i wondered if I should make my science officer better at ship combat or ground and worried about it greatly.  

On the downside they rely on you knowing that the race and class info up top are buttons to be hit to get that info.  Not the best design.  But some races will end up better off since they were restricted to just a few choices in racial traits while a few others (like aliens) could do pretty much whatever you want but you lose flavor when you take the ability to customize away.

I'm going to be really curious if they grandfather in trait selection that isn't valid any more or just reset everyone to the new system.  

I'll use my character as an example.

Hera (Alien Now).
Astrophysicist +10 Sensors  +10 Flow Capacitors, +10 Starship Particle Generators
Creative +5% All Damage +5% Hit Points
Telekinetic 30 damage 30 meters knockback
Telepathic +10 Perception +1.5% expose +1 sec expose duration

I built her to be a good all round character and indulged myself with the TK which just sounded fun.  

Hera (Alien in Beta)
Innate +1 Trait Choice
Astrophysicist +10 Sensors, +10 Flow Capacitors, +10 Starship Particle generator
Creative +12.5% Damage From Kit powers, +20% healing to shields and hp
Sturdy +15 Physical Damage Resist, +15 Kinetic Damage Resist, +15 Knockback rating
Telekinesis +15 Physical Damage, Knockback 45 Meters

(These shift by job Engineering aliens get Innate, Lucky, Stubborn, Techie, Warp Theorist.  Tactical have Innate, Accurate, Covert, Elusive, Resilient).

Better?  Worse?  I'm not sure.  But it will certainly be different and affect how I see my character.
