Hi everyone!
I've been mulling over an idea about STO that I think would be good for the Fleet and good for the Fleet's visibility. I've found only fragmented information about how the game plays, how to build characters/ships, what the sensor stats mean, and so on. My thought is to make some guides to help players at various levels play the game. Here's the basic format I was thinking.
1) Cadet Log: basic things like character creation, how to break up stacks, what to worry about when leveling.
2) Captains Log: What ships to use, Doff Missions, Boffs and what their colors and traits mean, damage type explanations.
3) Admirals Log: End game ship choices. Builds for hitting things, healing things, and not dying to things. Sets that matter, what can be safely skipped, etc.
So what do you think? We can build them into a great resource for the game which will draw eyes and pique interest in the fleet.

Re: Guide Idea
A most excellent idea.
It could certainly find a place within our forum for the benefit of all our STO players, even intrigue would-be players like those who tried and quit the game a few years back when it was definitely not as good as it is now. You're proposed structure is also quite in the proper mood to make it enticing and could offer openings for later additions and expansions.
If you do start this work, please submit it first to Rear Admiral Jureth before posting, so that we may review it and afterwards add it properly to our forums when done. With yur name attached to it of course so that other members can see by example how anyone can contribute to the fleet.
Make it so!
