As the next PHX ComicCon approaches... I go to the best sources for ideas, suggestions, images, etc... for the panels: Lotus fleet members!

First off... our group will be hosting the Star Trek Continues team as they premiere the next new episode here in Phoenix. Here is the blurb from ComiCon itself:

On Friday, May 29th at Phoenix Comicon, Star Trek Continues will be premiering Episode 4: The White Iris. This is the second premier that the web-series Star Trek Continues has done at Phoenix Comicon with Episode 1: Pilgrim of Eternity premiering at the 2013 event.

Cast attending the premier and doing a panel afterwards will be Vic Mignogna, Todd Haberkorn, Chuck Huber, Chris Doohan, Kim Stinger, Wyatt Lenhart and Michele Specht.

So... we are working the remainder of our panels around these STC ones this year and I'll get to chat with the cast a bit too. Fun stuff!

I have my first BIG meeting this Saturday April 11th... so anything provided by then would be greatly appreciated.

Panels I am doing this year and would appreciate input for:

1) LLAP: A tribute to Leonard Nimoy
I am honored to be a part of this panel and we really want to do justice to our favorite Vulcan

2) Star Trek: IDIC

3) Star Trek: 50 Years of Humanism

4) Star Trek: The History of the Future  (a.k.a Star Trek 101)

So chime in below with your ideas suggestions... post or send me images, graphs, charts, statistics, paragraphs, whatever... and I will try to incorporate them into the presentations! I'll also do a bit of promotion for the fleet again too. Too bad I don't have any huge Lotus Fleet banners.

Did you know there is an asteroid called 2309 Mr. Spock? It is officially listed at JPL as 1971 QX1 on its small body database (Link below).

Discovered in August 1971 by James B. Gibson, it is about 13 miles in diameter and orbits between Mars & Jupiter at 3 Au every 5.23 years. Actually named after his cat, called Mr. Spock, it is still, in my opinion, a fitting tribute to the late Leonard Nimoy as well.

Okay... I am working on the Leonard Nimoy/Spock tribute over these next couple of days.
(Just finished the majority of my IDIC one late last night)

Are there thoughts, images, clips, roles, activities, etc... that you would like to share and have included in this audio-visual tribute? (like BLZBUB contributed above) Things can be placed here or PM's can be sent directly to me. Attachments are great too.

I am certain that this individual has had some impact on you personally or perhaps even professionally to some degree for you to even be here in the fleet. ;-)

We will be presenting this compilation during our panel from 6:00 - 7:00 pm next Saturday May 30th at PHX ComiCon.

Thanks! :-)

Still recuperating from the whirlwind that was PHX ComiCon 2015.

It was exhausting but lots of fun. There were SOOOOO many people all around that area that I felt like I was a citizen of the capital city of Gideon... except surrounded by way better costumes. ;-)

Here's a brief article which I was mentioned along with Christopher Lloyd, Vic Mignogna,  Karl Urban and Ron Perlman.
As if I had their star power! Ha Ha Ha. ;-)  http://www.examiner.com/article/phoenix-comicon-maintained-its-quality-cast-of-characters

Here's a few images that I shot during or between all of the mayhem.

Credit is due where it is due, Jeff. Kudos for your job there. I'm sure it was of a caliber to make all of us proud here at Lotus Fleet.

And thanks for sharing. I wish i could attend one of those one day.

That sure would be nice, heh heh

But I already have you guys and that's close enough for me; feels like I'm in a Trek Con every day.
