Here is a location where we can place little treasures that we find about Star Trek and it's cast.
I'll start this thread off with a clip from an old late night TV series on NBC known as The Tomorrow Show, but often referred to simply as Tomorrow. This is approximately 1977 and Tom is interviewing James Doohan (Scotty), DeForest Kelly (Dr. McCoy), and Walter Koenig (Chekov) about Star Trek. So... this is before The Motion Picture... even before they even had a script.
Later, Harlan Ellison even makes an appearance... in a cranky sort of way in the beginning and gets quite annoying toward the end...even claiming that Star Trek was just a cop show in space. He comes off as quite an egotist.
Now... the quality of the video is rather poor, but the overall content is definitely worthwhile.

Harlan Ellison was a great Sci Fi author (for those who wonder, he wrote the TOS episode The City on the Edge of Forever and the short story The Soldier from which the Terminator movies are heavily inspired from and The Fly from which 2 movies were made, the second one by David Cronenberg which was the first horror movie in the last 50 years to get an Oscar nomination). But yes, he was well known to be an egotist, so no surprise there.
Anyway, we're not watching this clip for him, that's for sure.

Im a huge fan so Ive stayed away from the IRL things around Star Trek with the rumors swirling. I love my Heroes and Heroines. I suppose I fear learning their just common folk in a weird way. Lately Ive been working on that - I got Nichelle Nichols book to read.
The book about lost scripts Im reading mentions the Myan incident actually.
Again, thank you, Ill make sure all my friends see this marvelous show.

I have been looking but what I really want to find is the old phone commercial with the original cast it still cracks me up thinking about it.

Wow... those two really look like them! Someone should have used them for a Star Trek movie... even a fan created one!
