Illustrator inspires new Star Trek Book Series

Postby Jeff T » Thu May 08, 2014 11:33 am

"A series of 1970s-era faux book covers the illustrator had concocted for an imaginary Star Trek: Seekers world is becoming a reality, right down to the name. A new Seekers book series launches in July from Pocket Books with Caswell's creations, the first time a fan's artwork has been adapted for the cover of any Star Trek book..."

Actually, to me they seem to be along the style of the 1960"s James Blish short stories adaptations from TOS episodes (he made in the 60's and 70's).
(I have all of these old books of course... plus the others)

Hopefully, the stories follow the path of actual story-telling in respect to the original series, and not just another STINO (Star Trek in name only) offering .

Ah, very nice. I have a couple Blish novels, my favorite being the complete 'Cities In Flight', (all 4 novels in one book). I have read this at least 5 times since '79.
