Great stuff, Kheren!,
Another thing I noted - after watching the TOS again - is that the actors really tried hard to emulate Nimoy, Shatner and the rest of the original actors instead of putting their own stamp on the characters. They failed miserably. Their acting, for me, look forced.
What I understand from a parallel or even an alternate universe are, that even though it may be the same person, the same name, there will be major differences between that universe and ours, between our, or their 'twins' or whatever over there. Different decisions have different outcomes. Here I say no, there I say yes. Their lives and their character should differ a lot from the Kirk et cie we know.
I don't know if anyone will understand what I am trying to say, but I had to say it!
(Kheren, you should write someone's biography. Your research is outstanding! Gonna miss you )

Re: List of Flaws: Abram's take on Star Trek for upcoming pa
Got it Storm... but apparently, Abrams, Orci & Kurtzman used it to justify throwing away real ST for their dumbed-down, morality-void, story-lacking, popcorn-science one... but in the process get completely confused between black holes and wormholes, time travel and quantum realities, Star Trek and Star Wars.
Doesn't take much research you know; like most Star Trek fans, just look at the movies without switching off your brain.
