The oracle looked into the fire the dark gasses from deep withing Olympus boiled up obscuring her as she spoke. "Your way will be surrounded in Fire of birth. If you answer it you will be forged in that fire...for better and worse."

Hera strolled onto the campus in San Francisco her trying to not let her eyes dart this way and that. A part of her knew it was a standard schooling facility but the rest was overwhelmed by the moment of being here. the randoms produce so few great minds but their all drawn her in one way or another. She looked up at the Sun as it rose over the campus building her spirit feeling lifted up by the fact her war was won she had stepped into a brave new world to explore.
Hera was tossed to the ground a the corner of the building vanished into an exploding in front of her eyes, the students laid down like wheat by the shock wave. Screams terror, panic, abounded and a part of Hera wanted to panic too but she was hardened, trained, ready and she lept to her feet and ran towards the building.
Three stories, she figured dormatory. A part of her figuring the likelyhood of people being injured but she didnt want to think of it. She grabbed someone in blue and shoed them towards someone else in blue shouting "You two form a triage we will send the injured out!" Someone in red she grabbed and yelled "YOU! Get a cordon around that building and help evac the injured!" grabbing the third color sh yelled at the Engineering student to follow her in. Pairs no one alone after the seccond floor. her mind focused on the third floor, that's where the trouble would be.
With a bit of prodding the students mobalized and helped each other. The second floor she impressed more stunned students into service transporting those injured by the blast out, repeating the treatment on the third floor. Sticking the Security students around the explosion and ordering them to make sure nothing is tampered with.
Finally everyone was out, the fires too, and the place was secure when real Security showed up. Hera escorted Lt Commander Jake Williams in to the floors and gave him a brief rundown of the measures she took.
"So anyone on the roof?' His question eliciting a stricken look form Hera he patted her on the shoulder. "You did alright cadet, go and watch the roof, We'll take care of it from here." As he started grilling the security cadet Hera headed to the roof to begin her duty.

The next day Jake was going over paperwork in his office trying to keep up with it with the near constant stream of Admirals and 'important' people that needed him to explain in person what was going on. In fact he was very near the end of his rope snapping "WHAT?!" at the next person to come in unannounced blanching as he recognized Admiral T’sarvok of Vulcan. "I, I'm sorry Admiral its just.." falling silent at the Admiral waved his hand and said, "your night has been long and troubling. But I come with a problem only you can answer."
jake looked at him curiously then shrugged. "I'll bite Sir, what is that?" the Admiral sat himself in the chair and said "A visitor has gone missing in the chaos. You were reported with her." jake sat back and thought before saying "I dont remember - what do they look like?"
At the Admiral's description Jake started looking through the information he had till something in his description triggered a memory of that night. "Dark skin, white hair, about yay high?" Busy as his memory might be he remembered Hera and the briefing she gave him .. and sending her to the roof. They two of them check the roof and find her barely holding on to consciousness by drive alone.
"Am i relieved?" Hera's voice wavered a bit but her at ease stance didn't as she spoke. Jake spoke "Its all a mistake, you see you.." he stopped talking as the Admiral put a hand on his arm and said firmly "You are properly relieved of your post Hera." A heartbeat later she said "Yes Sir." the final words before she topped forward in a slow motion collapse caught by Admiral T'Sarvok.
The Admiral gathered her into a more comfortable carry then said simply to Jake "You have her post." and turned to leave the rooftop.
