The RP side of the site has me flailing about like someone who cant swim in the water.  at best I feel like I have a vague idea what to do at worst frustrated, hopeless, and completely lost.  

The Academy didnt do anything to show me how to interact with this unique set up, and there arent any resources to tell me how to find site or how to get involved.   We really need something that doesnt take a huge investment in time just to learn how to use.

If you are having trouble with the RP, your best resource are the other players on your ship. Jeff T, BLZBUB, Sorripto, and Josh have all been RPing with the fleet for awhile now and can help you with any difficulties you are having in understanding the format, the site, RP rules etc...I'm sure any of them would be happy to answer any questions you might have, all you have to do is ask!

I have been in RP for oh about two years now, and while the RP site (which is still fairly new) took some getting used to, the writing style is not much different than what I've been writing previously the difference being the interaction with other actual people. I wasn't sure I'd be any good at it at first, but it really didn't take long to get used to and I don't really consider it that much of a time sink at all.

Getting on the RP site is easy; just click on the roleplay button on the upper left sidebar.

Once there you will have to register which is pretty standard stuff.

After that, once logged in, you will find a tutorial sections which is very thorough in explaining how everything works on the site.

Of course, RP rules and proceedings are on the info section about RP here on this site.

If all else fail, you still have your RP friends to help you out. Asking your captain is certainly an easy way get where you want to be.
