Training facilty (back burnered)

(Update 17/12/2012:- For the moment this project is being placed on the back burner, unfortunately the foundry is proving a tad glitchy, unable to publish and sometimes unable to create a required area. I will carry on working on it for the forseeable future but not devoting as much time as i was. It will keep developing and as it does i will keep the fleet updated.)




Hi everyone as some of you know im new to the fleet, over the last few days i have been inspired by the academy to start building a STO ingame training facilty utilizing the foundry.

I though as i would like to present it to our rp leader once it is complete that i would keep you guys updated on its progress, which has been rather swift beyond even my expectations.

Current rooms:
Fully working Brig
Auditorium
2 conference rooms
Ship study areas
Main Foyer
Entrance area
Medical Training Hospital
Lecture room
11 berth Dormitory

Spread over two floors.

Current Staff:

3 x prisoners
1 x chief of medicine
1 x admiral
1 x head of security
1 x counselor
1 x chief engineer
1 x head instructor
5 x diplomats
7 x security officers
12 x instructors
2 x nurses

At the moment it is in a working order to present as a rough draft to the rp side of the fleet and also anyone else who might be intrested in seeing the project.

Once the basic idea is shown i will be adding more floors and rooms to the project and will open it upto a few polls and posts to see what people think are ideal place to have in a training centre.

Just an update.

Deck 2 is undergoing further refining and redesign to have it accomadate a few more rooms and make the flow easier to follow.

Right guys the project has take a redesign, before i was hand designing each level which unfortunate to say produces a rather large and extrapolated enviroment.

After search for a few hours for a map and a area that felt like it could become an academy,i have finally settled upon a rather nice and beautiful social zone. i.e Bajor.

With this turn of events the new map provides 2 key rooms that can not be built; Transportor and holodeck

The rooms the map provides are as follows:

Holodeck and prep rooms
Bar
Temple/Ceremonial hall
Medical Centre
Armory
Tactical Lecture Room
Instructor Offices
Deans Office and a large main atrium with streets

That is if you havent been to bajor yet.

And the best thing is its unpopulated so i can add in academy staff as is needed

I will have a populated main area ready to go later tonight with the additions in the name of holodeck maps and some interiors to go with the doors the first ones will be decided on in a few polls over the next week or so if the rp director likes the premise.
