General
APPROVED FOR USS MILLENIUM S4 E1

Mission Title
What should the name of the mission be?
  • When No One Has Gone Before

Mission Overview
What is the general overall plot of the mission. (No spoilers... think of a movie or TV show teaser/trailer).
  • The NX-88 USS Millenium, the first starship capable of going through time and to alternate universes, is ready for it's trial run. An elite group of selected officers are called upon for this classified mission where everything could go wrong... and too much does.

Requirements
What are the requirements specifically related to your mission?

Type of Ship
Indicate what type of ship is best suited for this mission (i.e. Explorer, Cruiser, Dreadnaught, Science, Escort), or "Any", and provide additional details about any special attributes the ship needs to possess.

When doing so, please keep in mind the fleet of ships currently in the RP so that the story may be more easily selected for use.

  • This mission is specifically tailored to introduce the USS Millenium as a new kind of starship play in the LF Trek universe.

It can be adapted for the launch\trial run of any new ship but here is made solely with the USS Millenium in mind. Any other ship will have to significantly alter the story to make it fit a conventional starship.

Mission Objectives
List the primary and secondary objectives for the mission.
  • Launch the ship and test it as a starship, then as a transdimensional ship and then as a timeship. Engineering and security will have a prominent role here but science and ops could be sollicitated as well. Medical problems could be added to if there is a CMO player to tackle them in detail.

Story Acts
Detail the story in several (at least 2) acts so that certain goals are known ahead of time and can be met based on what is written here. (Again, no spoilers, but do your best to split up the story into distinct parts).

Act 1
General information about what is to occur in Act 1.
  • The crew is brought secretly to the Byrma system in the former demilitarized zone between Cardassia and the UFP. There, in asecret asteroid dockyard where once was found the USS Artemis is docked the next Great Experiment; the first Starfleet transdimensional timeship. The officers are debriefed by the agents Dulmer and Lucsly of the Temporal Bureau of Investigation about the ship and her mission and why they were chosen to crew her.

Act 2
General information about what is to occur in Act 2.
  • The Millenium launches as a conventional starship to test it's new microsingularity warp core and then it's second generation Quantum Slipstream drive.

Then, both are used together to create a quantum displacement into an already known alternate universe: the infamous mirror universe. And there, they find out that, in this universe as well there is a ISS Millenium; but it lacks the special travelling capabilities of the USS Millenium and therefore crave it.

Act 3
General information about what is to occur in Act 3.
  • To prevent the Mirror universe from launching an all out transdimensional invasion with what they glimpsed from the Millenium, the crew now test the chronodrive in that universe to fufill a reversed paradox that caused this danger to happen; one caused by their very appearance in this universe.

Act 4
General information about what is to occur in Act 4.
  • The Millenium returns to our own time and space after successfully correcting their own interference in the Mirror universe by staging their destruction to convince their counterparts that the technology is a failure.

Following this success, the Millenium is commissionned under the registry NCC-98008 and assigned to Lotus Fleet.

More Acts
If you have more than 4 acts planned (generally you shouldn't), list the rest here.
  • NOTE: to further enrich this launch story, any kind of technical problems can be devised by the captain, ChEng and Ops players and security situations arising from those problems with the CMO, Sci & Sec\Tac players.
