Ferengi’s Gambit

Note: This mission can be done by any starship within Lotus Fleet Rp.
Resources:
You have access to your ship for Act 1, however during Act 2, it will be under enemy control, so unless you board it to try to retake it, it will be unavailable for Act 2.
Whatever you can find on the planet, Dopteria, will be your main resource. You will be able to find others who have been cheated by Tog, and can enlist their help, and you can use whatever resources they have.
Prelude:
On Dopteria, in a local bar, sat a fat Ferengi. He said, “You know the penalty, give me what I have won.” Innocent man, “Please Mr. Tog, please don’t kill me, my ship is my life, I need it to support my family.” Tog, “It was a fair bet, give me my winnings.” Innocent man, “No, it’s not fair,” the man attempts to run away, but is shot by Tog’s bodyguards. Tog, “Then you shouldn’t have bet with a Ferengi,” he laughs out loud, “another ship to call my own, soon I can have my own starship dealership.” He laughs out loud again
Opening Act (Act 1):
Your ship, has been exploring a region of space southwest of the First Federation and northwest of the Ferengi Alliance for around 2 weeks, (See Galaxy map, should be northwest of Federation space). Your ship is now own your way back home, and will be passing near Dopteria. You (the Captain), will decide to stop off at Dopteria, for some much needed Shore Leave. Once your ship gets to Dopteria, it will enter oribit and your crew will beam down. The crew will be split into 3 groups so that the ship can still operate, 1 group on the planet for shore leave, while the other 2 are on the ship (or however you see fit). While on the planet, a few of the senior officers will discover a bar, it’s here where Tog, the Ferengi, has his sights on new ships to swindle (Notice Prelude). The crew who discover the bar will tell you, the captain, about it, and you will beam down to check out, as part of your Shore Leave. Once you’re in the bar you will be approached by Tog and he will invite you to a friendly game. You will agree and you two will play the game, as at first it will be innocent. You will win the first 3 games and Tog will ask to increase the stacks. You will feel pretty good, and will agree. The increased stacks are unknown to both but it is agreed that whoever wins, can ask for anything, and the loser must deliver it. The last game is played and you, the Captain, will lose. You will realize that Tog let you win to gain your overconfidence, so you’d play the final game. Tog will ask for your ship, however you will refuse. 2 D’Kora class ships will then de’cloak and surround your ship. Ferengi marines well board your ship, and take over the major areas, such as the bridge and engineering. You will get a transmission about the invasion, however it will only take the Ferengi a few moments to take your ship. The Ferengi will begin beaming your entire crew to the planet, and Tog will beam up to his new flagship, your former ship.
Middle Act (Act 2):
With your entire crew now on the planet, Dopteria, you and your crew must figure some way to regain control of your ship. The crew must find a way to outsmart or fool Tog into giving back the ship.
(This part is up to the crew who decide to use the mission, you could threaten him, storm the ship and retake it, steal something and ransom it to Tog for the ship, or just outsmart him. I suggest you think like a Ferengi to solve the problem. This mission is sort of like on DS9 where the crew had to retake Vic’s casino, the holo-novel. )
Over all your crew will find some way to get back your ship, and/or get back your ship plus everyone else’s ships, to save the day of all the poor people that Tog has swindled. Once your ship is back you and your crew will finish your Shore Leave and then set a course back home or your next mission. End mission.
