Synopsis:
Due to losses from the Dominion War it has been difficult for Starfleet to maintain the integrity of the Federation’s borders. A hostile vessel has taken advantage of this situation and entered Federation space, playing havoc with civilian merchantmen. The vessel’s hunting spree has begun to interfere with the post-war restoration process of member worlds and the Federation Council has taken a marked interest in this situation.

The Admiralty has issued orders to find the hostile vessel and to chase, destroy, or take her a prize.

Hostile Vessel:
Initially this vessel’s origin and type are unknown due to little or no data surviving its previous engagements (the Captain can select his favorite enemy or create a new one). The vessel should be sized such that the assigned Lotus Fleet ship cannot defeat it in a head-to-head battle. Your ship will be out gunned and you will need to rely on your intelligence and cunning to employ unconventional tactics and achieve victory.

Merchantmen:
Eight merchantmen have already been destroyed and several more are scheduled to be in the area when you arrive. Protect them if you can but your main objective is the hostile vessel.

Location:
Generic location of space with several uninhabited planets, moons, asteroids, and remnants of a nebula. Nothing remarkable, just enough terrain to provide some interesting tactical situations.
