To avoid confusion about who's wearing what kind of uniform or color (thanks to STO for awesome but confusing uniform choices), here is a standard description of the uniforms. No need to change your avatar or anything on your RP ID. This is just a means to describe your own or someone else's appearance in RP if the need or desire arise.
Basic Uniforms
While on duty, all Lotus Fleet officers wear the standard grey over black uniform jacket overtop a shirt with a color indicating career path, seen here:
Red: Command Staff (Captain, XO), Operations Officer, and Junior Officers without a specific career path (i.e. Geordi / Worf in first season of TNG)
Gold: Engineering and Security / Tactical
Blue: Science
Medical
Dress Uniforms
Dress uniforms are white tuxedo-like jackets over grey shirt (Captain wears white). Colored bands around the wrist designate career path as indicated here:
Captain: Only worn by the Captain of the ship
