Report from the Lotus Fleet universe

Greetings fleetmates!

For any of you wondering what is happening with our fleet roleplay, here you will find updates to help you  if you have been away for some time and eager to rejoin, or if you think about joining us in the fun, or simply to learn what is happening in our very own RP Star Trek universe.

For each update, you will find the list of players currently involved either on one of our RP ships or our starbase. 

You will also be given current opportunities to join in-game or in the next adventure of ships and base, valid both for returning players and new ones.

Also, a reminder that anyone can join RP at any time, thanks to the Junior Officer Cruise. Veteran players as well as newcomers can make their own short story through a JOC, be it is to practice with our RP play, introduce a new character, guide a fellow player through the ropes, provide RP ideas or simply wait for the next mission to join in.

CURRENT RP MISSIONS:

3RD FLEET ACTION: BRAVE NEW WORLD


CURRENT STATUS:

STARBASE LOTUS: The main ships of the fleet are out on the first colonization mission in the pocket universe beyond the Azimuth Horizon anomaly. Fleet Captain Allen Samji commanding the starbase is about to be alerted by the approach of a Starfleet science vessel, the USS Asimov, sent a few weeks ago to study the alien ruins discovered in the nearby Sarabande asteroid field by the USS Phoenix on her maiden voyage. The ship is not schedule to come for R&R or supplies for at least three months.

Current players: Kheren (standing in for Evshell as Fleet Captain Allen Samji)

Playing opportunity: any new player can bring a character to the station to deal with the upcoming mysteries and dangers. Any current player can make up a secondary character to have more playing opportunities within the overall story from another angle.
There is also the possibility of playing characters abaord the USS Asimov. To discuss this possibility, contact the RP Director (PM Kheren) just as if you would a new or returning character.



USS HORIZON: transporting three thousand colonists hailing from the Horizon Children religious cult to a new world within the pocket universe, the flagship of Lotus Fleet is facing a mystery; they are unable to scan the best of the two planets suitable for colonization... and, so far, to understand why. With an impatient and zealous Federation official breathing down his neck, Captain Kheren must curb his antipathy for the very people that caused him to lose lives on his former ship years ago and not simply turn and go home...  while his officers tackle the mysteries and dangers this new universe are now bringing them... especially Commander Joey D. Sisko who had once been unwillingly the Prophet of these thousands of paradise seekers.

Playing opportunity: new players can temporarily assume the role of any of the current NPCs aboard, if they get permission to do so from the GM/Captain (PM Kheren)
Veteran or returning players with a character already on board can resume playing that character or also ask the GM/Captain (PM Kheren) to play one of the NPCs already on board.



USS PHOENIX: Tasked with charting the entire sector where the new colony will be established within the pocket universe, the prime deep space explorer of Lotus Fleet has barely left the flagship to do so when a strange signal is received from an even stranger area of space. Investigating, they find a virtual void in normal space where drifts what appears to be the USS Nuntio, a Starfleet vessel lost almost a year ago within the Azimuth Horizon anomaly. The Phoenix closes in, hopefully ready for whatever may come.

Playing opportunity: as specified above with the Horizon, but inquiries for joining play are to be addressed to Jeff T (PM Jeff T.).
There is also the opportunity for playing the characters aboard the USS Nuntio; inquiries for play in this regard are to be addressed to the RP Director (PM Kheren)



USS POLARIS: The Aquarius class integrated escort starship of the flagship is out patrolling and further charting the star system targeted by the colonization project. But barely half an hour out, Strategic Operations officer Oseno Jureth's crew finds a curious energy trail going seemingly towards the colonization area. Following it, they are surprised by a strange starship of unknown origin. But the intent of the intruder is quite clear as it opens fire and tries to destroy the Polaris!
